Mature, a word that seems to have endless meanings, yet elusive. It is not just a physical change, but also a psychological and behavioral change. So, what is maturity? What is the essence of maturity?

Maturity is, first and foremost, a kind of self-awareness. This awareness is not just about knowing oneself, but about one's relationship with the world. We live in a complex and ever-changing world, and mature people are able to see through the world, understand and accept its complexity and uncertainties. They understand that the world is not always fair and does not always work the way we want it to. Therefore, they are calm, do not lose their temper easily, and are not emotional. They use logic and rationality to deal with problems, rather than letting emotions dictate their decisions.

Mature people know themselves and they know their desires. They understand their abilities and limitations, and do not have excessive unrealistic desires. They don't make decisions against their will for the sake of face, and they don't give up their principles in order to cater to others. They dare to say no to others, while also being patient and understanding of others.

Mature people know how to judge the root of things with interests. They understand that the relationship between people, in addition to family affection, is more of a relationship of interests. But that doesn't mean they only value profit and ignore emotion. Instead, they are able to balance interests and emotions, using both reason and emotion to guide their actions.

Maturity is not just a state, it's a process. It is a process of continuous self-reflection, self-adjustment, and self-improvement. In this process, we constantly know ourselves, understand the world, and adjust our behaviors and attitudes. We learn how to get along better with others, how to deal with problems more effectively, and how to deal with our desires and emotions more rationally.

All in all, maturation is a journey from self-awareness to behavioral transformation. It requires us to keep learning, thinking and practicing, constantly challenging ourselves and surpassing ourselves. Only in this way can we truly mature and become a better version of ourselves.

We may encounter difficulties and setbacks in this journey, but these are all necessary paths to growth. We can't stagnate because we're afraid of difficulties, and we can't give up because of setbacks. Because it is only through these challenges and difficulties that we can truly grow and mature.

Maturity is not an end, but a process that is always on the way. We are always moving towards a more mature goal, and we are always learning and growing. So, let's embark on this journey with courage and constantly challenge ourselves, surpass ourselves, and become a more mature and better version of ourselves.
