gouri- Smooth facelift without a scalpel
Liquid polycaprolactone seems to open a new chapter in aesthetic and regenerative medicine. The old saying "beauty hurts" has been forgotten. Now, without the use of a scalpel and hyaluronic acid, the effects of time can be stopped or even reversed. Experience magic in its purest form.
Quest for the Holy Grail
Halting the aging process, rejuvenating immediately – these are the slogans that follow patients everywhere. There are a plethora of solutions in the aesthetic medicine market, which complicates people's dreams of being beautiful forever. Every aesthetic doctor chooses their own approach to combat gradual aging. As a result, many conflicting views have emerged on how to properly cope with aging. A product with immediate and multi-faceted effects will be the holy grail.
onebitsA new chapter for an old friend
For those who have been in the beauty market for a long time, polycaprolactone (PCL) needs no introduction. It is the strongest synthesis that stimulates collagen formation and requires a lot of experience from the doctor due to its strong action. Its great advantage is that it takes longer for new collagen to be produced and is completely biodegradable in the tissues.
Given the changing standards for the pursuit of beauty (no more HA-based fillers in favor of biostimulants), PCL is back on the scene in a completely new, fully liquid form – Gouri. It has changed the current way in which PCL is worked and used in aesthetic medicine. It has a high implantation safety profile in its liquid form.
Maybe that's the Holy Grail?
Same and different
In aesthetic practice, a personalized approach that includes product selection, appropriate technique, and correct anatomical analysis is essential. Differences in craniofacial structure, peculiarities of expressions, the patient's eating habits, and the work of the musculoskeletal system can have a significant impact on the results.
In my practice with Gouri, I have noticed that using the recommended "Asian" regimen does not show the full potential of the product in European patients. In some cases, Europeans have experienced adverse effects such as transient soft tissue edema with the use of this protocol. In Asian patients, no adverse effects were observed, and the patient's tissue bulging and filling were very effective.
The devil is in the details
In my daily surgical practice using PCL, I use almost all of its types – tissue adhesives, threads, and surgical sutures. I was intrigued by the new liquid version of the material I was familiar with and decided to look into its multifaceted effects. Considering the rheology of the gouri and the different facial structures of the patients, I had to make modifications to the current application protocol. The viscosity of liquid polycaprolactone was a factor I overlooked at the beginning, and this is the key to achieving immediate and even miraculous results.
Scalpel lift
Most patients want to achieve immediate, stunning rejuvenation results in the least invasive way possible. One of the biggest problems they asked to solve was the gradual relaxation and tissue collapse. Failure to defy gravity manifests itself in deepening of the nasolabial folds and defects in the lower third of the face. The use of hyaluronic acid tends to increase the weight of tissues, which aggravates existing problems. Not to mention the migration of hyaluronic acid. Considering the increasing number of patients' concerns about surgeries and invasive procedures such as implanting lift threads, liquid polycaprolactone gouri proved to be an excellent solution.
OrganizeAdhesives and liquid lifting threads
By changing the current perception that liquid PCL is just a tissue stimulant, you can discover its hidden amazing capabilities. Changing the existing product program with a special emphasis on tissue defects makes scalpel-free facelift possible. The method I chose was to inject the gouri using an upward vector and identify specific points of focus on the facial contours, coupled with the huge biostimulation potential, low viscosity and perfect penetration of the product to achieve an immediate effect of tissue lifting.
When we started using this product as a glue or liquid lift, we realized that with just one operation, we could not only rejuvenate the patient, but also fill in the volume defects and perform an inoperable facelift.
Take it a step further
Only with a multidisciplinary approach and unconventional actions can amazing results be achieved in the field of aesthetic medicine. This is the case with polycaprolactone, which is implanted in the right place, in the right amount, with the right technique, and is the best alternative to procedures such as thread lifts and surgery.
