Cheng Shujun graduated from the Medical Department of Beijing Medical College in 1962. In 1965, he received a master's degree from Peking Union Medical College. From 1978 to 1981, he studied genetic toxicology at the French National Institute of Oncology. From 1986 to 1987, he was a visiting scholar at Ohio Medical College. In 1992 and 1996, he was a visiting professor at the Netherlands Cancer Institute and MD MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States. From 1992 to 2001, he served as the Deputy Director of the Cancer Institute of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Vice President of the Cancer Hospital. Cheng Tianmin, born on December 27, 1927, is a native of Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. He is a professor at the Institute of Compound Injuries of the Department of Military Preventive Medicine of the Third Military Medical University, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and a physician of anti-origin medicine and pathology.

He graduated from the Sixth Military Medical University in 1951. In 1958, he began to study radiation sickness, and in 1960, Cheng Tianmin began to study radiation composite injury. In November 1986, he was appointed President of the Third Military Medical University. In February 1996, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Cheng Tianmin has also served as a member of the discipline evaluation group of the Academic Degree Committee, the chairman of the Chinese Trauma Society, a member of the expert group of the General Logistics and Health Department, and the vice chairman of the Chongqing Association for Science and Technology.
