For the industry to "pilot", the standard is traction. Energy and power is a capital-intensive industry, the cost of technical trial and error is extremely high, and the application scenarios of energy storage are extremely rich, if there is a lack of unity and coordination, it is easy to generate unnecessary internal friction in the implementation process. The above-mentioned "measures" propose that the relevant industry authorities will be coordinated to carry out the formulation and revision of local standards in the field of new energy storage, and support enterprises, institutions, enterprises and institutions in the field of new energy storage to develop relevant standards, which is conducive to playing the basic and leading role of standards and promoting the orderly development of the entire industry.

For the industry, safety is the cornerstone. At present, there are many entrants in the energy storage industry, but there are also "crucian carp across the river" rushing up, such as some latecomers do not have technical reserves, but they want to make money quickly, and are unwilling to "bury their heads in pulling cars". The uneven quality of product quality will inevitably cause "bad money to drive out good money". It is precisely because of this that the "Measures" have a lot of ink on safety issues, such as proposing to improve the quality and safety supervision system of new energy storage products, guiding new energy storage enterprises to set up corporate chief quality officers and standardization directors, etc., so as to clean up the source and promote the survival of the fittest from the top-level design.

To "recharge" the industry, innovation is the driving force. At present, many new energy storage products are seriously homogeneous and low-level "involution", especially the high cost of some key materials. To break this dilemma and create incremental value, it is largely dependent on innovation. It is undoubtedly important to create a good competitive environment, so that innovators can truly benefit, and promote the protection and creative use of intellectual property rights. The provincial work report mentions that Guangdong will have 100 new energy storage projects under construction in 2023 with a total investment of 229 billion yuan, becoming the most complete area in the energy storage battery industry in the country.
