Inter defenders may be suspended for middle fingers!
On February 12, Beijing time, Italy** reported that Inter Milan goalkeeper Acerbi raised his middle finger during an argument with Roma, and the Italian Football League inspector is currently investigating it. The interrogation is expected to take place in the coming days. If this is true, then Acerbi will face a penalty of a fine or suspension.
Inter won 4-2 against Roma in the round of 24 to claim five league wins and seven wins in all competitions and continue to lead by seven points over their opponents. The 36-year-old opened the first goal for Inter with his header. Although he went off injured in the 63rd minute of the second half, he still contributed four assists and averaged 7. per game after the game3 points, becoming the third leading scorer in the team.
However, Acerbi's middle finger after scoring was caught on camera, and although the referee at the time did not find out, the inspector of the Italian Football Association investigated it. It would be a huge loss if Inter were punished or banned for this. But that's not necessarily good news for Acerbi, who is too tired at 36 and needs more time to recover.
Acerbi has played 28 games in all competitions for Inter, scoring two goals and providing two assists. In those 20 league games, he scored two goals and contributed one assist. He averaged 090 assists, 120 interceptions, 250 steals. Acerbi is Inter's defender, behind Darmian after 30 games, but second to him in playing time. Statistically, Acerbi has played 2,326 minutes, which ranks behind Mkhitaryan, while Lautaro Martinez has 2,357. Acerbi is the oldest player in the squad and has suffered from cancer, but he has had an amazing second spring at Inter.
Acerbi, who turned 36 in 1988, grew up captaining the youth team of Bavia and had an extensive career with Genoa, Chievo, AC Milan, Sassuolo and Lazio. Acerbi, who joined Inter Milan on loan last season, has been in excellent form, contributing one goal and two assists in 49 appearances in one season. The Inter Milan director had already been in talks with Acerbi at the end of the season. They don't think it's worth it to buy a 35-year-old player for €2 million. In the end, Acerbi decided to reduce his salary and signed Inter Milan with a two-year salary of 1.5 million euros. At Lazio, he earns a whopping €2.5 million a year.
We all know the ins and outs of this, Acerbi was initially rumoured to be coming to Inter to retire, but he has become a fat piece for Inter. Aside from missing some games earlier due to injury, Inzaghi Jr. spoiled his apprentice like a donkey in the days that followed, never letting him rest. But this time, even Inzaghi Jr. had to sit on the sidelines and watch the game when Acerbi had his middle finger in the middle.
