The second day of the Lunar New Year is the second day of the traditional Chinese New Year holiday. On this day, people usually visit relatives and friends and do something different from the Chinese New Year's Eve. As a Chinese, I cherish this day very much because it is a day of happy reunion. On the second day of the Lunar New Year, I usually do something special with my family to make the day more meaningful.
In the morning, I would have breakfast with my family and then go out to visit friends and family. We will prepare some New Year's gifts in advance, such as fruits, sweets, wine or some small decorations. At the homes of relatives and friends, we would drink tea and chat together and wish each other well. At this time, everyone will say some auspicious words, such as "good health in the new year", "smooth career", "successful studies", and so on. It makes people feel very warm and happy.
In the afternoon, I would go to the temple fair with my family. The temple fair is one of the most popular events during the Chinese New Year and one of the traditional events on the second day of the Lunar New Year. At the temple fair, people can taste all kinds of food, play various games, buy New Year's goods, and watch various cultural performances. At the temple fair, I will taste all kinds of food with my family, experience traditional game activities, and feel the strong flavor of the New Year. Especially when visiting the temple fair, the whole person will become very happy and relaxed.
In the evening, I would make dumplings with my family. During the Spring Festival, dumpling-making is one of the very important traditional activities of the Chinese. Dumplings symbolize reunion and good fortune, and are also an indispensable delicacy during the Spring Festival. In the process of making dumplings, we chatted and made dumplings at the same time, and the relationship between the family members became closer. After wrapping the dumplings, we will enjoy a sumptuous Chinese New Year's Eve dinner together, which is also a time of reunion.
Overall, the second day of the Lunar New Year is a day of reunion and joy. On this day, I will visit relatives and friends with my family, participate in temple fairs, make dumplings, and spend a very meaningful day. On the second day of the Lunar New Year, I felt the warmth of my family and loved Chinese traditional culture even more. This is a day I will always remember.
