TQ Environmenta Combustible Sensor 340-4400

The GD129Ni uses the proven principle of infrared absorption. The unique sensor protection system allows for operation in the harshest conditions at sea, as well as in dusty and humid environments. Remote sensor capabilities eliminate the need for expensive open-circuit systems in accessible locations, pipes, and heated enclosures. The sensor is immune to poisoning and high gas concentrations and can be used with CO2 and hydrocarbons. Designed as an offshore structure with IP55 rating, the GD129NI is a versatile, rugged instrument with advanced technology.

Features: Pre-calibration No separate programming required On-board security check 4-20mA output Flammable hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide versions Hazardous area operation Control box function can be separated from the sensor as an option Gas concentration can be continuously monitored State-of-the-art SMT components No heater required Dirty mirrors or glasses Low power consumption Wide range of temperature operation.

The GD129NI is used to detect the presence of flammable hydrocarbons or carbon dioxide gases (methane, ethane, propane, butane, and similar gases). The sensor's 4-20 mA output is typically connected to a TQ control panel or similar third-party control system capable of providing indication and alarm generation. The GD129Ni is used in diffusion sensing applications where the sensor is located at a monitoring point and the gas is diffused through the optical path of the sensor. These sensors are not affected by gases in range and can be used in an inert environment as the sensors do not rely on the oxygen supplied to function properly. The GD 129NI is a low-maintenance sensor, but with a fully automatic zeroing and ranging function that can be calibrated in the field. Calibration can be done in the field, even in hazardous areas such as junction boxes, without having to open the enclosure to do so. The option of conduit and bulkhead mounting provides a very versatile sensor.
