In order to help build a healthy China and improve the ability of the masses to respond to emergencies, in 2023, the Red Cross Society of China, together with Xinhua Insurance and Xinhua Life Insurance Public Welfare Association, jointly launched the "New Heart Accompanying, Saving by Your Side" first aid capacity building public welfare project, through equipping public places with emergency ambulance all-in-one machines (including AEDs), carrying out emergency rescue knowledge popularization and skill training, etc., to achieve the goal of "being able to rescue, willing to save, dare to save, and be able to save".
As of the end of December 2023, the project has donated a total of 50 sets of emergency ambulance machines (including AEDs), which have been gradually deployed to 35 cities across the country, covering 14 schools, 24 community streets, and public places in 4 rural revitalization assistance areas, continuously improving the allocation rate of emergency equipment in public places.

At the same time, the project has also invited emergency rescue lecturers from the Red Cross Societies around the country to carry out 18 emergency rescue knowledge and skills training, popularizing CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Heimlich method, burns and fracture treatment and other first aid skills to the public, as well as the use of AED (automatic external defibrillator) and emergency rescue machine, and nearly 1,000 community workers, volunteers, sanitation workers, school teachers and students participated in the training.

Since 2021, the Red Cross** Society of China has systematically carried out emergency rescue work, improving the efficiency of pre-hospital first aid at the social level and protecting the lives and health of the people by deploying first-aid equipment such as emergency ambulance all-in-one machines in public places and carrying out mass first-aid knowledge and skills popularization activities. In 2022, the Red Cross Society of China will innovatively set up three major projects: "Safe Campus", "Safe Transportation" and "Safe Block", and work with caring enterprises to effectively improve the first aid awareness and ability of schools, communities, transportation and travel personnel. As of February 2024, the Red Cross Society of China has deployed more than 3,800 sets of emergency ambulance machines and AEDs, which is more than 160,000 person-times of emergency rescue training; The "Red Balloon Challenge" was held in Beijing, Xi'an, Wenzhou, Suzhou, Zhongshan and other places to allow the public to learn first-aid knowledge and skills in hiking; The "Red Cross First Aid Treasure" WeChat mini-program was developed and launched to realize the information connection between AED and first aid volunteers, and improve the emergency efficiency and rescue capacity of on-site rescue; Assisted in the construction of the "Red Cross Emergency Ambulance Learning e-Station" to provide the public with self-help emergency ambulance learning experience services in public places.
The "Emergency Ambulance Machine" is an emergency ambulance equipment developed and designed by the Red Cross Society of China, integrating AED, first aid kit and interactive large screen. The equipment provides the public with convenient equipment search, navigation, call for help, first aid knowledge learning and other services through environmental construction and IoT technology application, and at the same time provides equipment management personnel with remote and convenient management functions such as AED inspection, consumables early warning, use monitoring, and log management.
