Bearing heater, also known as electromagnetic induction heater or induction heater, is a kind of equipment that uses metal to generate eddy currents in the alternating magnetic field to heat itself, mainly used for heating bearings, gears, bushings, bushings, diameter rings, pulleys, shrink rings, connectors and other types of metal parts, and expanding them through heating to meet the needs of interference assembly. Its functions include quick temperature setting, real-time temperature display, automatic over-temperature protection, automatic heat preservation, etc.
The working principle of the bearing heater is mainly the principle of electromagnetic induction. When a thicker metal is in an alternating magnetic field, an electric current is generated due to the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction. This current creates a spiral-shaped flow path inside the metal, known as eddy currents. The heat generated due to the flow of electric current is absorbed by the metal itself, causing the metal to heat up rapidly.
When using a bearing heater, you need to pay attention to the following:
Place the yoke on the end face of the main core and make sure it is in good contact.
Turn on the power switch, check whether the grounding is good, and test it with a voltage tester after powering on.
Flip the function selector switch to the temperature control position, set the desired temperature, and touch the sensor probe to the workpiece, at which point the thermometer pointer to the temperature position at that time. When the set temperature is reached, the main unit will automatically stop working.
During the heating process, the relative position of the heated workpiece and the inductor should be kept unchanged to ensure uniform heating.
After the heating is completed, it needs to be cooled according to the specified cooling method to avoid deformation or cracking of the workpiece.
In a word, bearing heater is an efficient, safe and reliable heating tool, which is widely used in the heating and assembly process of various metal parts. During use, it needs to be carried out in accordance with the operating procedures to ensure the quality and safety of heating.
