Visit the teacher and giveYuan was questioned.

Respecting teachers and inheriting the fine traditions of China, the chairman practices with practical actions, and no matter how his status changes, he always respects and is grateful to his teachers.

In 1955, when the chairman inspected Changsha, he learned that his mentor Yang Shuda was seriously ill but had no money to see a doctor, so he did not hesitate to give his wife 500 yuan for the teacher.

However, this teacher who dares to question *** is not an ordinary person. He is Yang Shuda, a teacher who is deeply admired, and he is also a teacher and friend. Mr. Yang Shuda used his words and deeds to interpret the profound meaning of "a teacher for one day and a father for life".

Yang Shuda grew up in a scholarly family, and his father was an open-minded man. In order to let Yang Shuda better understand the knowledge of ancient literature, his father sent him to a new-style school to learn new knowledge such as arithmetic and English when he was fifteen or sixteen years old.

Later, due to his excellent grades, the Qing ** Gong sent him to study in Japan. After six years of hard study, Yang Shuda returned to Changsha to engage in education and devoted his life to this cause.

In 1913, Yang Shuda taught Mandarin at the Hunan Provincial Fourth Normal School, and at that time he had just studied in the preparatory department of the school. However, Yang Shuda is not the teacher of ***, so the two did not intersect at the beginning.

After studying in the school for a while, **I heard that there is a Chinese language teacher named Yang Shuda in the school, his ancient Chinese skills are particularly solid, and the students like his Chinese language class very much.

As long as his classes are full, the classrooms are always full.

** has a strong interest in Chinese studies, so he seized the opportunity to audit Mr. Yang's class. Mr. Yang's class really lived up to its name and deeply attracted the attention of ***.

Although I have only listened to Mr. Yang Shuda's class, I am full of admiration for Mr. Yang Shuda and regard him as my mentor. * The real acquaintance with Mr. Yang Shuda originated from the Beijing ** operation at the end of 1919.

In 1918, Zhang Jingyao, the governor of Hunan Province appointed by Beiyang**, committed all kinds of atrocities because he ignored the life and death of the Hunan people, sold mining rights to imperialism, and killed revolutionaries.

However, because Zhang Jingyao was an Anhui warlord, the people of Hunan could only dare to be angry but did not dare to speak.

In 1919, ** and others launched the "Expulsion Movement" in order to drive out the Hunan warlord Zhang Jingyao. They advocated a school boycott, boycotted Japanese goods, and organized many demonstrations, but they were brutally suppressed by Zhang Jingyao's warlord forces, resulting in a large number of students and people.

In December of the same year, ** and others decided to lead a delegation to Beijing** and resolutely demanded that Zhang Jingyao be expelled from Hunan. ** Elected as a citizen representative, Mr. Yeung Shu Tat went with him on behalf of the education sector.

In Beijing in December, when the cold wind was blowing, ** and Yang Shuda stepped forward and led the Hunan delegation to the Beiyang ** office. However, Beiyang** was ruthless and refused to allow the members of the delegation to enter despite the severe cold that had already hit them at the gate**.

** And Yang Shuda looked at the guards with guns in front of the door, and then looked at the members of the delegation behind them, although their lips were purple from the cold, they were still high-spirited, chanting slogans, and rushed to the gate without hesitation.

Although the guards were well armed, they did not dare to shoot lightly in the face of the angry crowd. In the end, the delegation successfully broke into the Beiyang ** office building, showing their firm belief and fearless courage.

When the Prime Minister and Secretary-General learned of the delegation's arrival, he immediately went out to greet him. ** I was about to speak forward, but was stopped by Mr. Yang Shuda. He said angrily to the secretary general: "The people who come here are all people from Hunan, most of them are students, can you bear to let them suffer in the cold wind?"

Do you understand the suffering of the people of Hunan? If it weren't for the fact that they couldn't survive, who would brave the cold to come here**? Do you have compassion? Hearing these words, ** immediately understood Yang Shuda's intentions, he was to protect the students and not let them take risks.

After several months of struggle, Zhang Jingyao was finally expelled from Hunan, and Yang Shuda and *** also met and established a deep friendship because of their cooperation. Although they have been separated for thirty-four years, they still pay attention to each other silently.

After the success of the "Expulsion Movement", Mr. Yang Shuda chose to avoid the political whirlpool and focus on education. Soon after, at the recommendation of his classmates, he successively held positions in the Ministry of Education, Normal University and other places, teaching courses such as Japanese, Chinese grammar, Chinese culture, and Jinshi.

During this period, he published books such as "Outline of Chinese Chinese Law", which was praised by the Ministry of Education. Although he was a pure scholar, he always kept an eye on the fate and prospects of his country.

He saw very clearly the ulterior motives of imperialism and abhorred it. At this time, ** had already devoted himself to the revolutionary cause in full swing. Although Mr. Yang Shuda did not directly participate in the torrent of revolution, he expressed his support for the revolution in his own way.

After the "918" incident, Japanese imperialism, which coveted China, often sent so-called "exchange scholars" to secretly collect newspapers and bribe traitors under the guise of cultural exchanges.

However, Yang Shuda has always refused to accept such people, no matter how they claim to be former classmates and friends, Mr. Yang Shuda always resolutely refuses to meet them. In 1935, Mr. Yang Shuda, who was teaching in Beijing, was invited by Japanese scholars in China to give a lecture on the cultural history of Hunan.

The theme of this speech is to remind people in our literary circles to be vigilant about Japan. At that time, the iron hooves of the Japanese invaders had penetrated deep into the land of North China, but Mr. Yang still dared to publish these unfavorable contents in public, which fully demonstrated his sincere love for the country.

After the Lugou Bridge Incident, Yang Shuda decided to leave Beijing and return to his hometown in order to protect his family and continue his education and research career. At the same time, he also pays close attention to the Chinese Communist Party's every move, because he knows that the Communist Party represents the hope of China's future, and is his old friend and partner who has fought side by side.

Although Yang Shuda did not understand politics, he clearly understood the contradictions between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and he hated the shamelessness of the Kuomintang and Chiang Kai-shek's policy of shutting down the outside world before securing the interior, and was full of worries about the fate of the Communist Party.

He was very relieved when his children threw themselves into the Communist camp without hesitation. With the surrender of Japan, Yang Shuda had a premonition that the contest between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party was about to begin.

When he learned from the newspaper that *** was going to Chongqing to participate in the negotiations with the Kuomintang, his heart couldn't help but tighten, he clearly remembered the large-scale ** of the reactionary party against the communists during the April 12 Incident, and the name of *** had always been on the Kuomintang's bounty list back then.

Since the day he went to the negotiations, Yang Shuda has been paying attention to the current affairs in the newspaper day after day, and he has always been worried about his safety. However, when he saw the news that the Double Ten Agreement had been signed and ** returned to Yan'an safely, Yang Shuda's hanging heart was able to return to its original place.

In 1949, the Kuomintang fled to Taiwan, and when they fled, they still did not forget to transport the looted people's fat and ointment to Taiwan, and at the same time wanted to forcibly bring famous people from all walks of life to Taiwan.

However, Yang Shuda resolutely refused. In the end, the revolution was victorious, and he hoped with great anticipation that he would be able to meet *** again. Finally, New China met again, which was exactly what he was looking forward to.

Mr. Yang Shuda is full of admiration for the chairman, and he once spoke highly of him as "the unity of the monarch and the teacher" after reading some of the works of the first class. Despite some differences of academic opinion, Yang Shuda still wrote a letter to the chairman, and received a reply and a sincere invitation from the chairman.

This deeply touched Mr. Yang Shuda. In 1954, after leaving Hunan for more than 20 years, Chairman ** returned to Changsha, and after his busy work, he specially asked to meet his mentor, Mr. Yang Shuda.

Mr. Yang Shuda, an elderly man in his seventies, was taken to Rong Yuan, where Cheng Qian lived, by a special car from the Hunan Provincial Party Committee after taking a nap. Also going with Zhou Shizhao and others.

After arriving at the Banyan Garden, they didn't see anyone, and Mr. Yang Shuda and Zhou Shizhao began to talk about the past. They were talking and laughing, and suddenly a staff member came in to inform them that the chairman had arrived.

The news shocked Mr. Yang Shuda, who could hardly believe his ears. The septuagenarian instantly became as energetic as a young man, and he hurried out to greet the chairman, who reached out with his warm big hands to hold Mr. Yang's hand and asked enthusiastically, "Mr. Yang, are you okay?"

Do you still recognize me? We haven't seen it in over thirty years. At this exciting moment, Mr. Yang Shuda felt extremely honored and excited. He knew that it was a testament to his contribution to society and a sign of his love and loyalty to his country.

He looked forward to in-depth exchanges with the President and made greater contributions to the country's development.

Mr. Yang's eyes were hazy with tears, and he said excitedly: "Of course I remember, you are Mao Runzhi." But he immediately changed his words: "It's time to change the title, you are the *** chairman invited Mr. Yang to the house, smiled and said: "Mr. Yang, one day is a teacher and a father for life, you will always be my teacher, just call me Runzhi, be closer." ”

Several people talked very happily, during which they also mentioned the letter written by Yang Shuda to ***, and Mr. Yang Shuda also gave a detailed explanation one by one.

**The love for Mr. Yang can be seen. He not only invited Mr. Yang and others to dinner, but also personally sent them home one by one. Later, despite his busy schedule, he found time to visit Changsha again, just to meet his mentor.

However, when *** arrived at Mr. Yang's house, he learned that his teacher was seriously ill, so he immediately sat on the edge of the bed and inquired about his condition cordially, showing a leader's deep respect and care for his teacher.

When the chairman learned that his teacher had asthma and had no money for treatment, he immediately got up and walked to his wife, took out 500 yuan, and gently told his wife to buy medicine for Mr. Yang to treat his illness, and if it was not enough, he could tell him again.

When the teacher questioned the chairman about the amount of money he received from **, the chairman explained that the money was his own manuscript fee, which was earned through labor, and that it was a natural thing for students to support his husband, and that the chairman's success was also due to the teacher.

Hearing the chairman's words, Mr. Yang Shuda, who was on the sickbed, was moved to tears. A few days later, when Mr. Yang's health improved slightly and he wanted to visit the chairman, he was told that he had returned to Beijing due to his busy schedule.

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Mr. Yang Shuda came to Beijing by appointment, and had the honor to swim in the same boat with the first boat, the two talked about the "expulsion movement" many years ago, and looked forward to the prospects of New China, and the mood was particularly happy.

However, no one expected that this would be the last meeting between the two teachers. On February 14, 1956, Mr. Yang Shuda passed away due to illness at the age of 71.

Although *** only audited a Chinese language class of Mr. Yang Shuda in his early years, he always regarded Mr. Yang as his mentor. When he heard the news of Mr. Yang Shuda's death, he felt very sad, he sent a message of condolence, and sighed: "There is another missing master of language and literature. ”

This fully reflects the importance of the tradition of respecting teachers, and his practice is worthy of our learning and inheritance of this excellent tradition.
