Kim Jong un: Surface to ship missiles are deployed forward!

KCNA said on February 15 that Kim Jong-un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, inspected and guided the acceptance and test launch of the Osprey-6 surface-to-ship missile the day before. According to Yonhap News Agency, this is the fifth cruise missile launch by North Korea since 2024.

According to the report, a number of "Osprey-6" missiles flew in the waters on the eastern side of the peninsula for more than 23 minutes and 20 seconds, successfully hitting the target line. The outside world has noted that the missile is a new type of missile and will soon enter service with the DPRK Navy.

KCNA said Kim Jong-un expressed "great satisfaction" with the results of the acceptance test, and also instructed to reorganize the operational establishment of the coastal missile brigades of the East and West Sea fleets, and demanded forward deployment, do its utmost to strengthen the strength of surface-to-ship missiles, defend the maritime border, and "thoroughly suppress and crush the military adventurous attempts of the enemy navy."

Kim Jong-un stressed that the DPRK's maritime sovereignty should be resolutely safeguarded by real force and concrete actions.

Kim Jong-un pointed out that the DPRK is based on its strong military strength, and "its position and will to firmly safeguard national sovereignty and security by exercising its legitimate right to self-defense are unwavering."
