From January 29th to 31st, our university participated in the 2024 annual meeting of China New Business University Group held at Sanya Tianya Blue Ocean Resort Hotel, with more than 200 middle and senior cadres and some faculty members from Chongqing Mobile University, Jinzhong University of Information, and Taishan University of Science and Technology.
On January 30, Dr. Peng Hongbin, Co-Chairman of the Group, talked about the development strategy of the Group and its three schools and four districts with the title of "Walking the World with a Sword, Biased to Tiger Mountain" at the Zheng Gu Romantic Theater of the hotel, officially opening the prelude to the 2024 Annual Meeting of China New Business University Group. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zheng, Group Chief Executive Officer.
At the meeting, Chairman Peng Hongbin officially put forward the brand value proposition of the school as the "preferred university outside the double first-class", which is also the new official promotion slogan of the school. Just as the title of the speech "Fighting the Sword to the End of the World, Biasing to the Tiger Mountain", becoming the "first choice university outside the double first-class", is an adventurous trip, Chairman Peng Hongbin said: "This is a great challenge, in English called make a difference, I translate into English as 'make a difference' or 'change the world'".

In March 2023, the university ranked 5th among comprehensive private universities in China and 1st in Shandong Province in the "2023-2024 Competitiveness Ranking of Chinese Undergraduate Universities". It has won many honorary titles such as "National Model University for Entrepreneurship and Employment", "National Model University for Ideological and Political Construction", "National Application-oriented Strength Undergraduate University" and "National Comprehensive Competitiveness Brand University". To this day,Taishan Institute of Science and Technology has a total of nearly 150,000 students enrolled and expected to increase to 1 in September90 thousand. Over the years, the initial employment rate of the school is nearly 90%, the four-year undergraduate entrance examination rate is nearly 15%, and the final employment rate is more than 96%.
How to become a "first-choice university outside of double first-class"? Chairman Peng Hongbin raised such a question: Who are we running a university for?
