U.S. immigration bulletin for March 2024
EB-1 has a priority date of July 15, 2022, moving forward 14 days; The EB-2 priority date is January 1, 2020, with no change; EB-3 priority date is September 1, 2020, no change; The unskilled labor priority is January 1, 2017, with no change; EB-4 has a priority date of December 1, 2019, moving forward 200 days; EB-5 (Direct Investment and Regional Center) has a priority date of December 15, 2015, with no change; (Reserved categories: rural, high-unemployment areas and infrastructure projects), no backlog. Form A: Final Action Dates, which can be literally translated as: the date of final determination of the immigrant visa and green card application, also known as the "approval bulletin". The purpose of Form A is that if the applicant's priority dates are earlier than the date of Form A, it means that his priority date has arrived, and USCIS or the visa center can conduct a final review of his immigration application and decide whether to issue a green card. If the Form A priority date is not reached, USCIS and the Visa Application Center will not make a final decision on his case because there are no available visas.
Form B - Filing Date (DFA).
U.S. immigration bulletin for March 2024
The EB-1 priority date is January 1, 2023, with no change; The EB-2 priority date is June 1, 2020, with no change; The EB-3 priority date is July 1, 2021, with no change; The unskilled labor priority is June 1, 2017, with no change; EB-4 has a 122-day backlog of January 1, 2020; EB-5 (Direct Investment and Regional Centers), with a priority date of January 1, 2017, no change; (Reserved categories: rural, high-unemployment areas and infrastructure projects), no backlog. Table B: Dates for Filing, which can be literally translated as: the earliest date on which an immigrant visa or green card application can be filed, also known as the "filing date". The purpose of Form B is that if USCIS confirms that Form B is open this month, and the applicant's priority date is earlier than the date of Form B, and the person is in the United States, the I-485 adjustment of status application can be filed with USCIS. However, it is important to note that filing an early application does not mean that the applicant can get a green card early, and the applicant will not be able to obtain a green card until the Form A is filed. At present, the USCIS announced that Form B of family-based immigration and employment-based immigration will continue to be open in February; In March 2024, Family-Based Form B will remain open, and applicants can use Form B to file an I-485 adjustment of status in the United States. This is not the case with employment-based immigrants.
