He advocated to Kublai Khan the creation of the Great Yuan State and the Emperor's Year Title, built the Yuan Dadu as the national capital, created the official system of the Yuan Dynasty, formulated the court etiquette, chapter uniforms and the system of Yulu, participated in the selection of officials and recommended talents, and enabled many Han intellectuals to participate in the Yuan Dynasty political institutions, made great contributions to the design of the Yuan Dynasty's political system, and played an important role in the construction and consolidation of the Yuan Dynasty's political power.

He applied the Feng Shui technique of the Yang Gong Triad School to design the Yuan Dadu, the predecessor of the city of Beijing.

He is the only Feng Shui master in history who has fixed the location of both capitals.

He is Liu Bingzhong, the founding teacher of the Yuan Dynasty.

Liu Bingzhong, ancestral home of Gao'an City, Jiangxi Province, grandfather Liu Ze, originally from Ruizhou (now Gao'an City, Jiangxi Province), his father served as the envoy of Xingzhou Festival in the Jin Dynasty, and lived in Xingzhou; Liu Bingzhong's father, Liu Run, was the commander of the Marshal Mansion of Muhua Lidu at the time, and later changed to the state register, and successively served as the commander of Julu and Neiqiu counties.

Liu Bingzhong, formerly known as Kan, is known as Zhonghui. He was a monk, his legal name was Zicong, and after the Mongol Dynasty destroyed the Jin, Liu Bingzhong served as the commander of the Xingtai Jiedu Prefecture.

In 1238, Liu Bingzhong resigned from his position as a minister, returned to Wu'an Mountain, and later became a monk, with the legal name Zicong, and the number of Tibetan Chunsan.

In 1242, Liu Bingzhong was appreciated by the 16th master of the Rinzai sect, Yin Jian (Zi Haiyun), and was recommended to join the shogunate of the vassal king Kublai Khan (i.e., Kublai Khan). Kublai Khan kept him by his side to discuss military affairs.

In 1250, he gave Kublai Khan 10,000 words and proposed: "The way to control chaos depends on heaven and man", "Take the world immediately, not immediately". He advocated the reform of the maladministration of the time and the establishment of a system. For example, the establishment of a hundred officials and lords, the reduction of taxes and servitude, the persuasion of agriculture, the establishment of schools, etc. His ideas played a powerful role in promoting Kublai Khan's adoption of the "Han Law".

In 1251, Meng Ge became the Great Khan, and Kublai Khan was in charge of the military affairs of the Han Dynasty in Monan. Kublai Khan moved his tent to the Golden Lotus River and ordered him to build a new city there in 1256.

In 1258, the new city was built, named Kaiping, and Kublai Khan was changed to Shangdu after being proclaimed emperor. In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty, Liu Bingzhong was commissioned to design and build a new capital in the northeast of the original Yanjing City. The scale of the new city is magnificent, the project is huge, and under the auspices of Liu Bingzhong, Zhang Rou, Duan Zhen, etc., the progress is very fast. In the ninth year of the Yuan Dynasty, Kublai Khan named the new capital Dadu according to Liu Bingzhong's suggestion, which was the original pattern of Beijing.

In 1260, Kublai Khan was proclaimed emperor and ordered Zicong to formulate various systems, such as establishing Zhongshu Province as the highest administrative body and establishing the Yuan Zhongtong.

In 1264 (to the first year of the Yuan Dynasty), Kublai Khan ordered the then 49-year-old Zicong to return to the vulgar, restore the surname Liu, give the name Bingzhong, and confer the title of Guanglu Doctor, Taibao, Counselor Zhongshu Province, and Tongzhi Privy Council.

In 1271 (to the eighth year of the Yuan Dynasty), Kublai Khan adopted Liu Bingzhong's suggestion and took Dayuan as the name of the country.

In the first month of 1274 (to the eleventh year of the Yuan Dynasty), the Dadu Palace was completed. In August of the same year, Liu Bingzhong died.

Liu Bingzhong wrote a lot in astronomy, divination, arithmetic, and literature throughout his life, including six volumes of "Tibetan Spring Collection", one volume of "Tibetan Spring Ci", twenty-two volumes of "Poetry Collection", ten volumes of "Anthology", four volumes of "Pingsha Jade Ruler", and two volumes of "New Mirror of Jade Ruler". Liu Bingzhong's great-grandfather served in Xingzhou during the Jin Dynasty, so he moved to Xingzhou (present-day Xingtai, Hebei). The feng shui classics left by the national teacher Liu Bingzhong include four volumes of "Pingsha Jade Ruler" and two volumes of "Jade Ruler New Mirror", a total of six volumes.

Today, we are mainly going to talk about the book "Flat Sand Jade Ruler".

Now the "Pingsha Jade Ruler Sutra" seen on the market has a total of six volumes, the first volume is the trial of the situation, the second volume is the trial of the qi and the heavenly machine fu; The third volume is the review of the dragon and the auspicious endowment; Volume 4 is the examination of acupuncture points. Volume 5 is a review of sand, and volume 6 is a review of the direction. The flat sand jade ruler is defined by taking the flat sand water control scale. The original book that circulated in ancient times was called "Shenwen Tongji Collection", and the original author was Chen Shu (Chen Xiyi) of the Song Dynasty, and when it was passed to the Yuan Dynasty, the national teacher Liu Bingzhong summarized it. In the Ming Dynasty, Mr. Liu Bowen gave a more straightforward explanation of the book. The content of the book explains the situation and orientation of the sand and water direction of the dragon's cave more thoroughly, and it is the culmination of Kanyu and Sanhe Feng Shui. "Pingsha Jade Ruler Sutra" brings together the efforts of Liu Bingzhong and Liu Bowen, which illustrates the historical status of this book.

Reading through this book, it can be found that Liu Bingzhong and Liu Bowen are both well versed in the feng shui of the triad school, and they are very proficient in the knowledge of mountain heads and the knowledge of rational qi. This gives a very important inspiration to those who learn Feng Shui in the future, learning Feng Shui, you must be familiar with the mountains and be proficient in Qi management. The mountain head and the rational qi, the two are the inside and outside of each other. "Luantou" is not effective without "rational qi", and "rational qi" without "luantou" is not tested, which is the most basic truth.

The side also proves the fact that in the Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, and Ming Dynasty, the mainstream feng shui technique in society was the Yang Gong triad feng shui. Especially in the Ming Dynasty, the "Pingsha Jade Ruler Sutra" was widely recognized, and those who studied feng shui in the society attached great importance to the "Pingsha Jade Ruler Sutra". Because of this, in the early days of the Qing Dynasty, in order to oppose the Qing Dynasty and restore the Ming Dynasty, Jiang Dahong, the old man of the Ming Dynasty, made up the theoretical framework of the three-element Xuankong by tampering with **, misinterpreting the meaning of the scriptures, and took the lead in doing a very bad thing in the feng shui world, that is, misinterpreting the "Pingsha Jade Ruler Sutra", and compiling the misinterpreted views into a book called "Pingsha Jade Ruler Sutra Identification of Falsification". The purpose of writing this book is to overturn everything and be unique, in order to promote the three-element Xuankong. Later, for the theoretical framework of the three-element Xuankong, another article will be written, please continue to pay attention.

Now on the Internet, due to Jiang Dahong and his disciples and some unknown Sanyuan Xuankong learners, the portal is biased and opposes the triad feng shui, which leads to confusion and lack of objective understanding of the triad Xuankong and the triad feng shui; On the one hand, the three-element Xuankong Qi management technique has more classes to accept disciples, and widely accepts disciples, while on the other hand, the triad school of feng shui generally pays attention to the teacher's inheritance, and the feng shui master who is proficient in the triad school of feng shui rarely runs classes to collect disciples, which limits the spread of the triad school of feng shui, so that some people have some doubts about the triad feng shui that has been handed down for more than a thousand years, in fact, the real triad school is extremely effective, and the real triad feng shui pays attention to the teacher's inheritance, and the inheritance is more strict, so if you want to learn Yang Gong's triad feng shui friends, you must first learn the classics, lay a good theoretical foundation, and then learn from a teacher. If you don't have a solid foundation and want to be self-taught without a teacher, it's too difficult! The summaries of the practical experience of the ancestors and some key technical points are generally passed down orally.

Of course, there is no shortage of good and bad in the feng shui world, whether it is apprenticeship or asking a feng shui master to design a feng shui pattern, it also depends on everyone's fate, if there is a fate to meet the master, you should cherish it.

May you reap the benefits of Feng Shui!
