The Golden Dragon Great Wall Scenic Area has many wonderful attractions, including off-road camps, 312 go-karts, interactive science and technology parks, dinosaur world, rainbow flying boats, Dream Valley Paradise, Jinlong Square, Jinlong Lake, Jinlong Great Wall, Meiwai Beacon Camp, jungle slide, jungle roller coaster, paragliding, Jinlong Temple, etc., so that you can enjoy yourself while visiting.
Morning departure: Depart from Chengdu at 9 a.m. and arrive at the scenic spot after an hour's drive. If you are driving, you can park in the No. 1, No. 2 or No. 3 parking lot, as shown in the map.
Morning activity: After arriving at the scenic spot, walk to the Guanlou and enter the Golden Dragon Great Wall to start the climbing journey. The 1,680-meter-long Great Wall has a total of 5 beacon towers, and the whole journey takes about 1 hour.
Lunch: At noon, arrive at the U.S. Beacon Camp between Beacon Towers 2 and 3 to solve the lunch problem. Satisfy your taste buds with a variety of cuisines, from Korean barbecue to Cantonese beef offal pot, as well as tempting options in the snack court.
Afternoon Entertainment: After lunch, enjoy a leisurely afternoon at Beacon Camp. You can splash around on the 5,000-square-metre lawn and try your hand at frisbee, football, archery, tug-of-war and more, or enjoy afternoon tea under the canopy.
Continue the adventure: At around 3:30 PM, continue the second half of the climb to the Golden Dragon Great Wall. After about 40 minutes of travel, you will reach the top of the mountain. Here, in addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Golden Dragon Temple, you can also choose to take a sightseeing bus or experience the jungle slide down the mountain.
Direct access to the Golden Dragon Great Wall: After arriving at the scenic spot, you can directly climb to the top of the Golden Dragon Great Wall, then choose a roller coaster + slide or sightseeing car to go down the mountain, and then pick up the car from the parking lot and directly navigate the Meiwai Beacon Camp, which can be reached in about 10 minutes, and finally enjoy a leisurely camping time in the camp.
