The police recruitment examination for public security colleges and universities is what we often call the joint police recruitment examination for public security academies. The recruitment of people's police to the public is mainly carried out in the form of national and provincial examinations. The differences between the two are as follows:
First, the recruitment method is different.
For the national examination and the provincial examination, it is based on the announced position, first register for the post selection and then take the written examination.
But for the public security joint examination, the recruitment examination can actually be summed up as: one written test and two recruitments. One written examination and two recruitments refer to the fact that after the police academy students participate in the unified recruitment examination of the national public security academies, the results of the examination can be used for the first batch of recruitment organized by the Ministry of Public Security and its directly subordinate organs, and can also be used for the second batch of recruitment organized by local and forest public security organs.
The first batch of recruitment: the Ministry of Public Security organs and directly affiliated units, the Secret Service, the Railway Public Security Bureau, the National Immigration Administration, the Civil Aviation Administration Public Security Bureau, the Customs Anti-Smuggling Bureau, the Yangtze River Shipping Public Security Bureau, and the General Station of Entry-Exit Border Inspection.
The second batch of recruitment: local and forest public security organs recruit first written examination, interview, physical fitness test, and then select positions on the spot, political examination (political examination link is sometimes advanced).
2. The registration requirements for the exam are different.
The recruitment target group of the joint examination for police recruitment in public security colleges and universities is single, only for fresh graduates (including junior colleges, undergraduates, and graduate students) from public security colleges and police colleges, while the national and provincial police recruitment is for a wide range of groups.
Reminder: Fresh graduates of public security colleges and universities majoring in public security are not allowed to apply for positions recruited by the Ministry of Public Security and its directly subordinate units, units directly under the Secret Service of the Ministry of Public Security and its vertical management units, vertical management units of industry public security bureaus, and national immigration management agencies.
3. The practical test is different.
The two recruitment pathways are similar in terms of competency, and both involve administrative aptitude tests, professional knowledge and essays. But there are differences in the administrative aptitude test.
1) The format of the exam is different:
The police recruitment examination and administrative ability test of public security colleges and universities are in the form of computer-based tests. In the national examination and other police recruitment examinations, the administrative ability test adopts the form of on-site written test answers.
2) The amount of questions in the line test is different:
In the joint examination for police recruitment in public security colleges, the test part is divided into 6 modules in the exam, with a total of 180 questions, all of which are multiple-choice questions. It consists of six parts: perceptual speed and accuracy (60 questions), common sense judgment (20 questions), verbal comprehension and expression (30 questions), data analysis (20 questions), quantitative relationship (10 questions), and judgment and reasoning (40 questions).
In police recruitment exams such as the national examination, the number of questions is not necessarily, ranging from 90 to 135 questions, all of which are multiple-choice questions. There are a total of 5 modules: Common Sense Judgment, Verbal Comprehension and Expression, Data Analysis, Quantitative Relationship, and Judgment and Reasoning.
3) The requirements for answering the questions are different:
In 2021, the perceptual speed and accuracy will be fixed in the first part of the answer, a total of 10 minutes, and the time is divided: 2 minutes of reading time and 8 minutes of answering. The rest is randomly selected by the system in the order of modules. It should be noted that when entering a certain module, the time limit will be limited, and the answer questions of this part must be completed within the specified time limit, and the system will automatically submit the questions of this part after the time limit is reached. However, the national examination and other police recruitment tests are only limited to the overall time to complete the answer, and each module does not have a separate time limit.
Fourth, the difference in the scope of inspection.
The public security major of the national examination is a little smaller than the public security major of the joint entrance examination, after all, we have a professional project called police skills in the public security joint examination, including some hand-to-hand combat, some checks, including some interception of vehicles, which is not common in the national examination.
If the focus of the national and provincial examination is your memory of the law, then the public security joint examination is more about how to apply these laws and reasoning and judgment ability, so the form of the two exams is not the same, the national and provincial examination you only need to have a good memory to pass, while the public security joint examination must have actual work ability, in order to reasonably answer the questions in the materials.
