The structure and working principle of the electric hammer

The structure of an electric hammer.

The electric hammer is composed of a drill, a chuck, a roller, an adjustment sleeve, a transmission system (including an electric-to-air device, an impact piston, a hammer, a mechanical overload protection device and a variable speed gear), an electric motor, a shell, a control switch and a working state control valve.

How electric hammers work.

There are two sets of transmission devices in the gearbox of the electric hammer: one is the impact device, which includes the crankshaft, connecting rod, compressor piston, hammer head and other parts; The other set is the rotating device, which is composed of bevel gears, rotors and other parts. The impact device drives the compressed piston to reciprocate in the cylinder through the crankshaft and connecting rod, so that the hammer head hits the tail end of the tool with a higher impact frequency, so that the tool impacts forward.

The rotation device and the impact device work at the same time under the drive of the motor shaft, so as to realize the compound movement of rotation and impact. According to the different purposes of the operation, different work heads can be installed to complete different work tasks. If the short-tail drill bit is installed, it can only rotate without impact, and can be used to drill holes in metal materials; If the chisel with a cylindrical tail is installed, the rotating sleeve can not drive the chisel to rotate, at this time, there is only impact and no rotation, which can be used for trenching, cleaning, crushing, hairing and tamping.
