Historically, it has always been believed that Zhao Gao and Li Si planned the "Dune Change", which led to the succession of Qin II Hu Hai and caused the rapid collapse of the Great Qin River. However, is this view really correct?
Assuming that Zhao Gao and Li Si did not plan the "Dune Change", would Fusu really be able to succeed to the throne smoothly? If Fusu succeeds to the throne, will it really lead Daqin to long-term prosperity?
These are all questions that deserve to be in-depth in.
As history lovers, we are always full of curiosity and questions about history, such as the succession of Qin Shi Huang, is it the succession of Fusu? Or Hu Hai? The Western Han Dynasty bamboo slip "Zhao Zhengshu" recovered by Tsinghua University gives a different answer.
This historical book records the process of Qin Shi Huang's succession to Hu Hai, which is different from the record in the "Historical Records". Although history cannot be assumed, we can learn more historical truths through historical records.
There is a passage in the Book of Zhao Zhengshu that may have made people misunderstand the record of the succession of the First Emperor, but in fact, this passage does not exist in isolation, and if we take this point of view and then read the contradictory records in the Historical Records, we may have a deeper understanding.
For example, in "Historical Records: The Biography of Meng Tian", Qing Shijun once had an incomprehensible record: When Fusu committed suicide, Hu Hai did not want to kill the Meng family, but Zhao Gao said that Meng Yi repeatedly obstructed the establishment of Hu Hai as the crown prince, and in this case, Hu Hai sent an envoy to question Meng Yi.
Meng Yi replied that he had followed the first emperor since he was a child, and if he couldn't obey the first emperor's wishes, how could he be trusted? Even though he didn't know much about the ability of the crown prince Hu Hai, the prince had been touring the world with the first emperor, and he had no doubts about this implication.
The first emperor had already decided to make Hu Hai the crown prince after careful consideration, how could he dare to advise or plot? Hu Hai later sent an envoy to question Meng Yi, to which Meng Yi replied that he could not understand what the first emperor meant, and that he could not disobey the will of the first emperor since he was a child, and that he could not judge the prince's ability.
The first emperor appointed Hu Hai as the crown prince, and after years of careful consideration, how could he dare to advise or plan?
When Meng Yi tried his best to defend himself, he would never say easily, "It has been many years since the first emperor established the crown prince, what else do I have to say, what do I have to worry about?" ”
In this case, put yourself in a logical dilemma.
