"Little Grass" - Zhang Huili

I'm normal

No one can calculate what I have suffered

Tribulations and grievances,

But I don't want to win mercy for that.

Although in the long nights,

My limbs were covered with teardrops

But the multiplication of life

It doesn't stop because of the change of seasons.

The scales of life are fair

From birth to death,

Everyone belongs to this law.

Life does not bring, death does not bring,

What else is there to sigh about.

If there is only yourself in your heart,

So what's the point of being alive?

So, I forgive everything in the past

All the injustices done to me,

Everything ravages me.

It's not mine, I never ask for it.

What belongs to me, I will never give up.

There is no quarrel with the world, not burying yourself.

No one can take away my right to live.

Although in this world,

I don't live very brightly

But since alive,

It has to have its own color.

I don't like to dress up

but I have dressed the earth.

Each heart has its own sun,

Every sun has a field where it shines

As long as I'm alive,

Just my delicate arms

It can also be raised in the morning breeze

I'll sing in green

On the sunny slopes,

By the canal in Aono,

Bloom my life.
