Fourteen key points of operation and maintenance in the rainy season

With the arrival of March, the southern region has also entered the spring rainy season, which has brought new challenges to the operation and maintenance of crushing equipment such as cone crushers. During this season, the persistent rainy weather makes the equipment more susceptible to moisture, the electrical system is more prone to short circuits, and the lubrication of mechanical components can also be affected, resulting in poor equipment operation. We have sorted out 14 key points for the operation and maintenance of crushers in the rainy season, hoping to help everyone's production.

1. First of all, how to prevent lightning from shaking the motor? It is necessary to take lightning protection measures. For example, storing new equipment that has not been installed in a dry and ventilated room; If indoor conditions are not available, the equipment should be padded with wooden boards and wrapped with insulating plastic and other related products to prevent electric shock. In addition, some precision components or connections in the crusher control system may be misaligned due to sonic shock. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job of maintenance work and reduce losses.

2. In the rainy season, we should pay attention to the power supply part of the equipment, check the power cord junction box in time, and do a good job of waterproof measures for the crusher junction box, water is easy to conduct electricity, so you should pay attention to being drenched when it rains, and take safety precautions, otherwise there may be a short circuit.

3. The motor is the key component of the operation of the equipment, and waterproof measures should be taken to avoid entering the rainwater and burning out and affecting the normal work.

4. Check the electrode wiring of the battery, pay attention to the adjustment of the electrolyte density, and often supply power to the battery in the rainy season and maintain the preheating device.

5. Try to avoid being exposed to rain for a long time, so as not to run smoothly due to rust.

6. Add some lubricating oil to the crusher regularly, and the usual lubricating oil can not be used in rainy weather, so the crusher should be replaced with special lubricating oil and grease in the rainy season, and pay attention to cleaning when changing the oil. There are also requirements for the diesel fuel used, so choose a diesel with a lower freezing point.

7. Avoid parking machinery and equipment too close to the edge of cliffs and ditches. All equipment should be parked in a solid and non-dangerous place on the ground, and should not be parked in a dangerous place such as a slope, a slope greater than 20 degrees, and a soft ground.

8. The crusher should pay attention to feeding, control the water content of the ore, try not to shovel the ore with low terrain and more water content into the crusher, and it is best to dry it first if possible, so as to reduce the moisture in the ore.

9. Check whether the protective shell of the control cabinet is leaking, repair the damage in time, and make a backup control cabinet plan. In general, the control cabinet itself has a metal housing, but this critical part cannot be ignored during the rainy season.

10. All exposed electrical switches and switchboards on the site must be protected with insulating items before the rainy season, and the protective doors of the distribution box and cabinet should be fully configured, and the surrounding debris should be cleaned up.

11. Rainwater has a certain corrosiveness to steel, and management and operators should take effective measures to reduce the impact of chemical corrosion on machinery according to local weather conditions and air pollution.

12. Ensure that the brake fluid is sufficient to ensure that it can work normally.

13. For the exposed belt conveyor, it may cause the belt to slip and affect the conveying after being wet by the rain, and a rainproof (dustproof) cover can be added to prevent rain.

14. In the production process, in case of thunderstorms, production should be stopped, and the staff should hide in a safe place to avoid approaching and touching metal objects at high places or metal objects connected to them, so as to prevent lightning accidents.

The rainy season "will inevitably have an impact on production, and what we can do is to protect ourselves and minimize losses." Hopefully, the above 14 O&M measures will help your production.
