In August 2023, the university launched the distribution of awards to athletes and coaches who have achieved outstanding results in the Tokyo Olympics. According to the relevant provincial and municipal regulations, the school leadership team collectively researched, and the bonus was used to reward the coach team. Coach Yu Lihua, as an enlightenment coach, rewards him personally according to 60% of the total bonus of the coaching team.
However, Yu Lihua's request that he personally receive 100% of the bonus in full was inconsistent with the policy, and the two sides disagreed. The school contacted Coach Yu Lihua many times to inform him of the relevant matters related to the procedures for receiving the award. On December 4, 2023, the leaders of the school went to Coach Yu Lihua's home to once again explain in detail the distribution of Olympic awards. On February 1, 2024, the school informed him in writing.
The school said that the information released by Coach Yu Lihua is inconsistent with the facts, and if it has a negative impact on the school, the school will reserve the right to pursue its legal responsibility. As of press time, Coach Yu Lihua did not respond to the statement.
