This person is the former vice premier, state councilor and minister of national defense, a famous proletarian revolutionary and military strategist in modern Chinese history, and one of the outstanding leaders of China's modern national defense science and technology constructionGeneral Zhang Aiping.
Zhang Aiping, a native of Daxian County, Sichuan, was born in 1910, participated in the revolution at the age of 15, joined the Communist Party of China at the age of 18, and successively experienced the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and the War of Liberation, and made great contributions to the establishment of New China.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, General Zhang Aiping successively served as commander of the Seventh Corps and Zhejiang Military Region, chief of staff of the Third Field Army, and deputy chief of general staff of the People's Liberation Army.
In September 1955, Zhang Aiping was awarded the rank of general for his outstanding military exploits, becoming one of the more than 50 founding generals awarded by New China for the first time.
However, what is impressive is not General Zhang Aiping's outstanding military exploits, but the general's "four fearless" character traits, namely:Not afraid of the mandate of heaven, not afraid of adults, not afraid of the words of saints, not afraid of power.
Whether it was the revolutionary war years when bullets were rained down and the life was dead, or the turbulent period that followed, the general never abandoned it from beginning to end.
For example, at the "Lushan Conference" in 1959, General Zhang Aiping always adhered to his bottom line and did not follow the crowd.
After the meeting, many people avoided Mr. Peng, but he was frank and unscrupulous, and accompanied Mr. Peng to return to Beijing by plane.
During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, General Peng served as the commander-in-chief of the Red Third Army Corps, and Zhang Aiping served as the regimental political commissar and director of the division political department in the Red Third Army Corps.
After decades of getting along, Zhang Aiping also knows Mr. Peng's personality, although Mr. Peng's personality is strong, he is open-minded, frank and selfless, and insists on the truth, which is by no means like those people at the "Lushan Conference" accused.

But the general's uprightness doesn't stop there.
In the early 60s of the last century, Lin Shuai was in a high position and was in the sky, and his so-called "creative formulation" of "learning Mao's works should produce immediate results" was once popular all over the world, and few people dared to stand up and say the word "no", but General Zhang Aiping was not afraid of it!

The shadow can only be seen on a sunny day, how can you see a shadow on a rainy day? His words are okay to put on the dragon gate array, but it is inappropriate to write them into a document......Of course, the general's unruliness will naturally be given special care by the "rebels", and he will soon be identified as a "Kuomintang spy" and will be beaten almost every day, but the general is also fearless about it.
At a criticism meeting, the "rebels" picked up the iron chain and were about to hit the general, but the general opened his eyes in anger and raised a bench to resolutely retaliate.
This frightened the "rebels", and they never imagined that this old general, who was over sixty years old, could be so brave, and finally fled one after another.
However, although the general was not afraid of power and dared to fight against the evil forces, he was ultimately unable to change the general trend of history because of his weak strength. Soon after, he was falsely accused of being a "spy" and imprisoned.
However, even when he was in prison, the general always adhered to the bottom line, did not bow his head, did not review, and did not report and expose others, and maintained the noble integrity of a communist who "would rather die standing than live on his knees."
In March 1975, Zhang Aiping, who had been imprisoned for six years, was able to return to work and was appointed director of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission.
But as far as the situation at that time is concerned, General Zhang Aiping's comeback this time was obviously ordered to be in danger.
Because not long ago, my country's first returnable satellite failed to launch, and it flew out for 21 seconds, which hit everyone hard.
Since the end of 1955, General Zhang Aiping has participated in the planning of national defense science and technology, and then successively served as deputy director of the National Defense Science and Technology Commission and deputy director of the National Defense Industry Office.
Therefore, it is undoubtedly very appropriate for him to return to preside over this work. General Zhang Aiping, in line with his awe of the cause of national defense science and technology, also wanted to come back and start work as soon as possible.
Despite the difficulties after his comeback, General Zhang Aiping still relied on his resolute and resolute style to lead the formulation and organization of the development plan of cutting-edge equipment such as intercontinental missiles, submarine missiles, and communication satellites, and successfully organized the launch of China's first returnable satellite "Jianbing-1" at the end of November 1975.
However, less than 8 months later, the general was once again defeated.
On January 18, 1976, a criticism meeting attended by more than 7,000 people was held at Xiannongtan Stadium, at which General Zhang Aiping was asked to make a "review", but the general only said 72 words:

In May 1980, General Zhang Aiping successfully organized and directed the launch of China's first intercontinental missile, and then successively served as Vice Premier, Deputy Secretary-General of the Military Commission, State Councilor and Minister of National Defense.
After November 1987, General Zhang Aiping officially retired to the second line, but still served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Advisory Committee, and continued to make suggestions and suggestions for the construction of the party, the state and the army.
On July 5, 2003, General Zhang Aiping completed his wonderful and legendary life at the age of 93.
