The hardness purification efficiency of the water purifier refers to the efficiency of the water purifier in removing the hardness in the water during the filtration process. The hardness of water is mainly composed of mineral ions such as calcium and magnesium, which are usually present in water in the form of dissolved salts. In the process of heating or using high-hardness water, it is easy to form scale, which affects the water quality and the service life of the equipment.
In order to remove the hardness in the water, water purifiers usually use softening technologies such as ion exchange, reverse osmosis, etc. These technologies can effectively remove calcium and magnesium ions from water, thereby reducing the hardness of water. The purification efficiency of water purifier hardness is usually expressed in terms of removal rate, that is, the proportion of hardness that the water purifier can remove from the water. When consumers buy water purifiers, they can pay attention to this indicator in order to choose a water purifier that is suitable for their own family use.
Hardness purification efficiency test.
a) Scaling solution requirements.
Table 1: Requirements for the hardness purification efficiency test spike.
b) Test method: In accordance with the water supply system of the test device shown in Appendix A, a spiking solution that meets the corresponding requirements of the table (referred to Appendix B has been prepared), and according to the manufacturer's requirements, the test is carried out with the spiking solution at an inlet pressure of (0,24 ± 0,02) MPa. When 100% of the nominal rated total water purification of the drinking water treatment device is reached, sampling is carried out at the sampling point of the inflow sample and the sampling point of the outflow sample respectively. The sample size should not exceed 11or 4 times the amount required for analysis, whichever is greater. Samples are collected, stored and tested in accordance with the methods specified in GB T 5750 (all parts), and tested with reference to other relevant domestic and foreign standards that are not specified in GB T 5750 (all parts).
Note: The hardness purification efficiency test is not applicable to water softeners.
