This exhilarating sporting event is a new format of basketball test event for the main event of the 2024 Future Games. Combining offline basketball competition and online virtual basketball competition into one will test the physical and mental fitness of players.

Eight teams of three people compete in each team. Each game consists of two stages, divided into digital stages + physical phases.

Two athletes from the team compete. The game is played according to the interactive basketball rules of the black top 2 2 mode. The game ends when one of the teams scores 15 points.

The game is played in a 2x2 format (two players from each team on the field and one substitute). Basketball players play for 10 minutes per quarter. Athletes compete on an innovative 3x3 LED basketball court with a basket on the court. There are free shot lines and two-point shooting lines on the court, and there is also a semicircle under the basket, and no fouls are recorded.

Teams must demonstrate their skills in a basketball simulator followed by a 2x2 basketball game on the court. The total number of shots made in both phases will determine the outcome of the game. In the event of a tie, the winner is determined by penalty kicks.

In"The Road to Champions"In the digital basketball tournament, the most promising team to win the championship is the St. Petersburg team, which sent the best of the best. Three-time national champion of digital basketball, Mikhail Panchenko, was in charge of the virtual part of the game, while on the court, Shatashvili, who won the gold medal of the Russian 3x3 tournament, took the lead.

Teams from eight countries, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Guatemala, Spain, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Spain and Turkey, participated in the international tournament. The foreign teams participating in the qualifiers have a strong lineup. For example, Marco Kakarevic of Partican Esports is the champion of the World Youth Championship and the European Youth Championship and has twice won the Serbian championship with Team Partizan. The Ramboot eSports team is made up of professional basketball players and cyber athletes. Team MDMX in China brought young and bold 3x3 basketball players.

In the first International Phygital Basketball Championship, players from the Chinese team proudly appeared. The Chinese MDMX basketball team competed fiercely with a number of foreign teams. In the end, in the semi-finals, the Chinese MDMX could not break down the reliable defense that Azerbaijan's ALOV team possessed. Team Alov won 43-33 to take the bronze medal. MDMX took fourth place.

The Chinese MDMX team has four athletes participating in the competition, namely Jiang Zhengyang, Cai Sheng, Cheng Wu and Sha Yuxin. They both play for amateur and semi-professional clubs in China.
