About Feng Xing Shugui
簋" is pronounced as "guǐ", which is a vessel used in ancient China to hold cooked meals, and is also used as a ritual vessel, and is one of the iconic bronze utensils of the Chinese Bronze Age. ”
This national first-class cultural relic returned to the motherland, Feng Xing Shu Guitong is 18 centimeters high, 21 centimeters in diameter, 12 centimeters deep in the abdomen, and weighs 6 kilograms. The upper end of the ears is decorated with the head of a curly-nosed beast, the shape is unique, it is a typical bronze shape of the Western Zhou Dynasty, with a simple and solemn style of the times.
There are 3 lines of inscription and 18 characters (including 2 heavy texts) on the inner bottom of the inscription, that is, "Feng Dong (Xing) Shu Cha (作) Bo Ji Zun, its 10,000 years of descendants and grandchildren Yongbao use". The inscription is clear and the calligraphy is exquisite, which shows that in the Western Zhou Dynasty, our ancestors had a superb level of bronze casting.
Cultural relics are the carrier of historical stories, and on the occasion of welcoming the New Year and going home for the New Year, a cultural relic that has been lost for 40 years can be returned to the embrace of the motherland is both gratifying and exciting. I look forward to the subsequent exhibition of this cultural relic, and also look forward to the upcoming Year of the Dragon, more wandering cultural relics can embark on the journey home.
