The 24 solar terms in the masterpiece of art rain

Mondo Culture Updated on 2024-02-19

As the saying goes, "spring rain is as expensive as oil". The rain in spring moistens all things, so that dead trees can meet in spring, and seeds can germinate. This is the second solar term of spring - rain. The rainy season is the season of spring rain in the south of the Yangtze River. The river meanders around the town, and the spring rain moistens the green tiles and white walls. In the distance, the mountains are vast and the mountains are stacked; Nearby, on the bluestone bridge, under the oil-paper umbrella, walked by a lilac-like girl; Green hats, green clothes, fishing songs echo, light boats rippling. The dark fragrance floats like a dream, quiet and serene, so that people have to indulge in the gentle countryside of the south of the Yangtze River.

Mr. Li Keran was born in a fisherman's family in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, and the beautiful scenery of the south of the Yangtze River became the background color of his childhood memory. In his early years, he studied at Shanghai Art College and West Lake Art School. After 1954, he went to Jiangnan many times to sketch, taking creation as his teacher. This "Spring Rain in the South of the River" from the collection of the National Art Museum of China was created by him in 1962. At that time, he was living in Guangdong to recuperate, and when he saw the spring rain, he created the scenery of Suzhou and Hangzhou according to his memories. This poetic Jiangnan painting is different from his previous painting style, showing more of the warmth and freshness of the Jiangnan water town. He uses light ink and light color, from "writing scenes" to "creating landscapes", he uses his unique artistic perspective and brush and ink skills to make the whole picture permeated with the atmosphere of spring rain, and vividly express the beauty of spring rain in the south of the Yangtze River. In front of this picture, we seem to be able to feel the warmth of the spring rain and the caress of the spring breeze, and breathe the vibrant breath of nature.
