After reading the book "Cognitive Awakening", I deeply realized a truth, that is, the root cause of anxiety can be boiled down to two points: one is to want to complete many tasks at the same time, and the other is to be in a hurry and want to see results immediately. Much of this mentality stems from our anger at our own incompetence.

As Wang Xiaobo said, "All human suffering is essentially anger at one's own incompetence." "The same is true of the nature of anxiety, when our desires exceed our abilities, we feel anxious because we lack enough patience to wait for our growth and progress.

In this fast-paced society, we always want to be able to complete the most tasks in the shortest time and achieve the greatest effect. However, this mindset often backfires and leaves us in endless anxiety. Because when we are in a hurry, we tend to ignore our actual situation and ability limitations, and ignore that our growth takes time and effort.

To overcome anxiety, we need to face up to the gap between our desires and abilities. We need to realize that our abilities are limited and we can't do all the tasks at the same time. At the same time, we also need to be patient enough with our own abilities and growth, and not rush things. It is only when we are able to balance our desires and abilities and patiently face our own growth process that we can truly get rid of anxiety.
