In April 1976, in accordance with the suggestion of the Communist Party of China, the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China passed the resolution of Comrade *** to serve as the first vice chairman and premier of the Communist Party of China.
After the death of the chairman, under the leadership of the Politburo, Comrade ** has always adhered to the will of the party and the expectations of the people, and since the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee, he has gradually withdrawn from the political stage of China.
However, the fade out of Comrade ** was not sudden, but was well thought out and processed. In the "Communiqué" of the Third Plenary Session of the 11 th CPC Central Committee, people began to perceive the subtle atmosphere contained in the proposal of "less propaganda of individuals" put forward by Comrade ***.
At this time, Comrade ** still held the posts of ** Chairman of the Communist Party of China, ** Premier and ** Chairman of the Military Commission, and held all the power of the Party and the state. However, at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China from February 23 to 29, 1980, Comrade Wang Dongxing resigned from the post of vice chairman of the Communist Party of China.
From August 30 to September 10, the third session of the Fifth National People's Congress was held, and the first and others carried out normal personnel changes.
Subsequently, ** offered to no longer hang his portrait and inscription in public. In this context, in June 1981, at the Sixth Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, *** criticized ***, pointing out that *** did not correctly treat the obligations of a party member to the party and the people.
After this meeting, the image of ** in public gradually decreased.
Despite his contributions in the past, there are still comrades who criticize him for lacking the necessary political and organizational skills required for the chairmanship. In this regard, the ** marshal also carried out self-reflection and admitted that he had too high praise when propagating ***, and there was a feudal idea of "Zhou Gong Fu became the king".
He offered to take responsibility and asked for his leave. **Deeply moved, expressed willingness to accept criticism with an open mind. After retiring from the political scene, these criticisms reached the ears of Marshal ***.
He stood up again and asked a rare question at a ** meeting: "Look who dares to touch him, or join me." In the end, under the influence of ** and Ye Shuai's correct attitude, these criticisms gradually disappeared.
**Comrades lived a low-key life in their later years, and only on the birthday and death day of ***, they took their families and staff to the *** Memorial Hall to pay respects to their remains. He passed away in Beijing in 2008 at the age of 87 and is deeply saddened by his passing.
On November 3, 2011, the ashes of Comrade ** were buried in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. Throughout his life, he always upheld loyalty to the party and the people, and he is an example for us to learn.
