On the morning of December 24, 1980, the Special Court of the Supreme People's Court prepared for the trial of the case of the counterrevolutionary group. Judge Jiang Hua arrived at the courthouse early and sat in the lounge, thinking of his wife, a woman who was resolute and uncompromising.

Jiang Hua deeply regretted that his wife was unfortunately killed in the struggle against the ** and counterrevolutionary groups, and has not yet been able to receive a fair evaluation. Whenever he thinks of his wife, Jiang Hua will think of the time when they were in Jinggangshan, when they were full of vigor and determination, and they were not afraid of any evil force ......By mistake, Jiang Hua's wife Wu Zhonglian became a revolutionary female general, and she was classmates in Yizhang County, Hunan Province, along with Zeng Zhi and Peng Ru, and later studied at the Hunan Provincial Third Normal School.

In 1927, Zeng Zhi introduced Wu Zhonglian to join the Communist Party of China, and since then she has started her glorious life. Shortly after Wu Zhonglian joined the organization, the Ma-Ri Incident occurred in Hunan, and the school was surrounded by Kuomintang reactionaries.

In order to protect the flame of the revolution, Wu Zhonglian and his teacher Zhang Jichun led more than 20 students to successfully escape from the school in the dark night. Wu Zhonglian was very intelligent, and when faced with enemy cross-examination, she responded with tact, ensuring the safety of all her classmates.

Wu Zhonglian, a woman who does not let her eyebrows go, resolutely followed the troops of ** and went to Jinggang Mountain. Although the road was full of dangers, she never complained of being tired, but took the initiative to lead women and young students to care for the wounded.

After going to Jinggangshan, she devoted herself to clerical work and did clerical work by her side. At work, she and Kang Keqing became good sisters and took care of each other, and Kang Keqing even called her Sister Wu.

In her later years, Kang Keqing expressed deep admiration for her friend Wu Zhonglian, calling her "During the Long March, among our sisters in Jinggangshan, she was the most able to endure hardships and the strongest one." ”

Not long after the team set off from Jiangxi, Wu Zhonglian began to fall ill, his legs were weak, and he often fell behind. Despite this, she still carried bags of dry food and papers, and held torches, and firmly pursued the group.

When she finally caught up with the ranks, and without resting, she took up the orders, notices, and marching routes issued by the column headquarters, copied several copies, and distributed them to the troops. Such a good woman naturally has many admirers, and Wu Zhonglian has deep feelings for Jiang Hua.

Jiang Hua is a student of the Hunan Provincial Third Normal School, before going to Jinggangshan, he met Wu Zhonglian, and participated together After arriving in Jinggangshan, Wu Zhonglian is the secretary of the former committee, and Jiang Hua is the secretary of the former committee.

This wonderful fate brought them close together, and they copied together every day, not only learned many revolutionary truths, but also developed love for each other.

The misalignment of a relationship makes them miss each other. Wu Zhonglian was originally the person Jiang Hua wanted in his heart, but he was arranged by the organization to marry Zeng Risan. Jiang Hua was very painful in his heart, he couldn't forget his beloved, he could only miss her silently in his heart.

Although Zeng Risan is an excellent leader, Jiang Hua has never been able to accept his feelings with him. During the Long March, Wu Zhonglian was eight months pregnant and accompanied the army to the west.

Their fate has once again taken a major turn.

In the cold winter of Lunar New Year, Mr. and Mrs. Wu were faced with a difficult decision: to send their newborn child to the nearby Wang family. Although Wang Xuewen, the male head of the Wang family, is the captain of the militia group, he understands the righteousness and is willing to take the risk of adopting this child.

However, just after Wu Zhonglian and his wife handed over their children to the Wang family, the Western Route Army was attacked by the Ma family army and was forced to retreat at Qilian Mountain. In 1937, the Western Route Army divided the remaining 3,000 men into three detachments and decided to separate guerrillas and wait for reinforcements to arrive.

Zeng Risan was the political commissar of one of the detachments, and the main members of this detachment were women and children. However, it was not long before they encountered a large number of cavalry from the Ma family.

In order to protect women and children, Zeng Ilsan personally led his team to fight the enemy, but unfortunately died. During the battle, Zeng Risan covered some comrades to temporarily break through, and Wu Zhonglian was one of them.

In order to save Wu Zhonglian, Zeng Risan was detained in the "Introspection Yuan" in Xiaozhuang, Nanjing, for several months. She was rescued when ** and *** arrived in Nanjing to attend a national defense conference. Wu Zhonglian left Jiangxi in 1934 and returned to Yan'an in 1937, an experience that caused her to suffer from the loss of her husband and children.

Wu Zhonglian was killed in the battle with Ma Jiajun, and Jiang Hua's Red Third Army was still alone when he arrived in Yan'an. His deep affection for Wu Zhonglian has not changed, which touched Wu Zhonglian, and the two became husband and wife with the consent of the organization.

In the decades that followed, they were never separated from each other. Their love is the envy of many people, not only sincere love, but also a complex from Jinggangshan.

Wu Zhonglian and Jiang Hua have a deep friendship with the people, after the founding of New China, they went to other places to inspect or rest, and went to Zhejiang the most, which has a close relationship with Wu Zhonglian and his wife.

Every time I go to Hangzhou, I am very willing to ask them to reminisce about the past and recall the days of fighting in Jinggangshan. In 1940, Wu Zhonglian gave birth to Jiang Hua's first child, named Yu Dajiang.

At that time, Jiang Hua was the commander of the Soviet-Anhui Column, and Wu Zhonglian was the director of the Political Department of the column.

Such a heavy responsibility is on them, and the child must not be taken with him, so Wu Zhonglian once again reluctantly fostered the child in the home of a gentleman who supported the resistance against Japan, and after the domestic situation stabilized, Wu Zhonglian took the child to his side.

It can be said that the dedication and dedication of Wu Zhonglian and his wife have made significant contributions to the establishment of China and New China.

Wu Zhonglian and her four sons, as well as two later boys, Jiang Xiaohua and Wu Xiaobai, settled in Hangzhou in 1949, Jiang Hua held a leading position in the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, and Wu Zhonglian became the director of the Women's Federation.

Despite the gradual improvement in her life, Wu Zhonglian has not been able to calm down, as she has been thinking about her son who was sent away during the war for more than a decade. In order to find his son, Wu Zhonglian sent guards to investigate in many directions, and asked the Northwest Field Army for help, and finally found his eldest son, who was already 15 years old.

In order to thank the Wang family for their nurturing grace, Wu Zhonglian paid a one-time maintenance fee of 600 yuan, and the People's Liberation Army stationed in Gaotai also sent a plaque to the Wang family, which read: "Comrade Xuewen, you have cultivated future generations for the revolution, and the people will always remember them." ”

Wu Zhonglian and her four sons, the first female president of the Provincial High Court in New China, took over the responsibility of president of the Zhejiang Provincial High People's Court in 1952. At that time, the war had just ended, and the legal system was almost non-existent, but she was not frightened by it.

She took the comrades of the provincial court to go to the countryside to clear up the backlog of cases while establishing people's courts and circuit courts. Wu Zhonglian is well aware that the people are the masters of the country, so he attaches great importance to the people's letters, visits, and the handling of appeals.

Under her leadership, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Court established a series of systems for letters from the people at an early stage, and also stipulated a system for court presidents, division heads, and division chiefs to receive visitors in shifts on a regular basis.

In the fourth year of Wu Zhonglian's establishment of the Zhejiang People's Court, she took on a very special case. She found that more than 800 death row prisoners had been reported from all over the country, which was a significant number.

The execution of so many people would mean that thousands of family members would be involved, and the impact would be significant. Wu Zhonglian is well aware that her duty is not only to adjudicate, but also to protect and maintain the harmony and stability of society.

Therefore, she decided to conduct an in-depth investigation to find out the truth of the case, rather than being sentenced to death lightly. This decision caused a great deal of repercussions at the time, but she firmly believed that only in this way could the justice and fairness of the law be truly realized.

Wu Zhonglian and Jiang Hua re-examined the case files of more than 800 prisoners and sent a team of nearly 100 people to various localities to verify the situation. In the end, they determined that only about two dozen people should be killed by sifting through each one.

Because of this incident, Wu Zhonglian was known as the "female baogong". Wu Zhonglian has a calm personality, but he has firm beliefs. She bravely walked through battles such as Jinggangshan and the Long March, not afraid of power and sacrifice.

In the face of the counter-revolutionary clique, she tenaciously resisted and struggled. However, in 1967, Wu Zhonglian was tragically killed. At that time, Jiang Hua was also involved in the whirlpool, and he did not know about his wife's death.

When *** instructed to take Jiang Hua and other veteran cadres to Beijing for protection, Jiang Hua's first reaction was: "I'm going, what should Wu Zhonglian do?" That's when people had to tell him the truth.

After Wu Zhonglian's death, Jiang Hua's son Wu Changzheng was called to deal with the funeral, but he was not involved in the whole process, and he didn't even know anything about his mother's ashes. Although the death of Jiang Hua's husband Wu Zhonglian hit him hard, with the strong support of ***, he still decided to pick himself up.

Until one day in 1974, Jiang Hua, who was waiting for the assignment of work, received a summons**, which made him overjoyed. When he came to Zhongnanhai, he saw that *** was reading, he stepped forward, leaned over to hold the chairman's hand, and said, "Hello chairman." ”

The chairman looked up, gestured to the chair next to him, and motioned for him to sit down and speak.

**The chairman kindly asked Jiang Hua about his age and family situation. Jiang Hua replied that he was 68 years old and his family situation was normal, but when he mentioned his wife, his eyes couldn't help but redden.

He wanted to avenge his wife's grievances, but in the end he chose to remain silent. *The chairman noticed Jiang Hua's hesitation and immediately proposed that he go to work in the court. Jiang Hua was very surprised, because although his wife worked in the judiciary, he had never been exposed to the law herself and had no relevant work experience.

However, the Chair said, "You just have to control the policy." Although Jiang Hua was a little hesitant about this proposal, Chairman *** said firmly: "It's decided like this, you have no chance to refuse." ”

Jiang Hua was a little surprised by the chairman's decision, but it also made him deeply awe and honored.

After Jiang Hua took over the Supreme Court, he faced the dilemma of the judicial system being hit hard and his work was difficult. He led the nation's judicial organs to actively review historically unreasonable cases, and by the end of 1981, more than 1.2 million cases had been concluded.

In addition, he also personally tried the 10 main culprits in the ** and counter-revolutionary group cases. After the indictment was accepted, he said: "This is a just trial, and all the adjudicators must be upright, summon up courage, and be prepared to carry out a serious and sharp struggle against the rule of law."

We will do our best to create a good case in history. Of the next 53 public trials, Jiang Hua attended 28 times.

At the Jianghua trial court, the presiding judge questioned **'s crime, but ** resolutely refused to cooperate, and also proposed to see the political reports of the Ninth and Tenth National Congresses of the Communist Party of China.

Faced with this situation, the presiding judge told ** in a firm tone that it had nothing to do with the case, so her request was dismissed. **When he heard this, he immediately showed a panicked expression, and began to make a loud noise in the court, and even pointed at Jiang Hua and shouted: "Jiang Hua understands me, ask Jiang Hua who I am afraid of?"

I'm a monk with an umbrella, lawless! In the face of **'s crazy behavior, Jiang Hua felt a lot of headaches. No matter how much she made a fuss, her original crime was inescapable.

During the discussion on how to sentence the 10 defendants, the judges had different opinions and debated endlessly. However, Jiang Hua said calmly: "We can't be emotional, we must be sentenced in accordance with the law!" ”

In 1981, Jiang Hua and Vice President Wu Xiuquan jointly read out the verdict, and when they heard the news that they were sentenced to death, they couldn't hide their excitement and began to shout.

History is fair, and the counter-revolutionary clique cannot escape the sanction of history in the end. In 1978, the Zhejiang Provincial Political and Legal System held a conference for Wu Zhonglian to rehabilitate Zhaoxue, so that her heroic soul could rest in peace.
