Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has made historic achievements and undergone historic changes, which are inseparable from the hard work of the broad masses of the people and the promotion of the core values of socialism. In order to better understand and practice this core value, on January 28, 2024, the practice team of the School of Computer Science of Qufu Normal University came to Jinan, Shandong Province, to go deep into villages, communities and welfare institutions to experience rural revitalization and environmental protection actions. Through a series of fun and educational actions, it reaches out into the community and conveys the spirit of patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendliness, setting an example for the society.
The practice team members first came to the countryside to learn about the life and industrial development of local farmers. Through exchanges with the local people, the practice team members deeply realized the importance of rural revitalization. **The investment and improvement of rural construction have made everyone see the great changes in the appearance of rural areas. The team members visited local agricultural cooperatives and farmlands to learn about the application of modern agricultural technology and the sales channels of agricultural products. At the same time, the team members also learned about the progress of rural education, medical care and infrastructure construction, which are all important components of rural revitalization.
At the same time, in the practice of rural practice, the practice team members also participated in garbage sorting activities. The practice team members learned the methods and meanings of garbage classification in depth, and helped the villagers to classify garbage and improve their garbage. Through their personal participation in garbage sorting, the practice team members have a deeper understanding of the importance of environmental protection and how they should contribute to the protection of the environment.
Next, the practice team members came to the community and participated in the green and low-carbon activities of the community residents. Volunteers from the community introduced the methods of energy conservation and emission reduction and the importance of environmental awareness to the practice team members. The practice team members carried out garbage classification and waste classification together, and learned energy conservation and emission reduction measures in life. The team members also visited the community's greening project and botanical garden, and learned about the important role of plants in the environment. Through these activities, the practice team members deeply realized the importance of green and low-carbon life, and understood that everyone should contribute to the protection of the environment.
Finally, the team members went to the welfare organization and participated in volunteer service activities. The practice team members sent condolences and care to the elderly, and accompanied them to chat and sing. Through communication with the elderly, the practice team members have a deeper understanding of the needs and lives of the elderly. The members of the practice team realized the importance of caring for the elderly and the young and caring for the disadvantaged groups in the core values of socialism. In the practice of welfare institutions, the practice team members also experienced the joy and happiness of giving, and understood that helping others is a virtue and responsibility.
Through this social practice activity, the practice team members deeply realized the historic achievements and historic changes made by the party and the country since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and also realized the importance of promoting the core values of socialism. In the future study and work, the practice team members will pay more attention to environmental protection, care for the disadvantaged groups, and actively contribute to the development of society and the country.
