China-Singapore Jingwei, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- According to Reuters 10**, artificial intelligence lab OpenAI said in a blog post on Wednesday that the company has launched GPT Store, the personalized artificial intelligence application marketplace.

The report said that the GPT Store, located inside the ChatGPT chatbot, is a place for users to discover and build GPTs, or customize AI for tasks such as designing stickers for teaching.

The report mentions that OpenAI is trying to capitalize on the success of ChatGPT. In 2023, ChatGPT introduced the world to generative AI that dazzles users with its ability to write humanized prose and poetry. ChatGPT quickly became one of the fastest-growing apps of all time, but as the novelty wore off, the rate of ChatGPT user growth began to decline.

OpenAI reportedly said that the GPT Store will initially be aimed at those who use ChatGPT's paid plan. In the coming months, the company intends to work out the details of how creators will make money from it.

The report pointed out that OpenAI announced GPT Store as early as November 2023 at its first developer conference. But in December, OpenAI postponed the launch of GPT Store. The postponement comes as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was unexpectedly fired by the company's board of directors and reinstated when employees threatened to resign.

The report concluded by saying that OpenAI said on Wednesday it would launch ChatGPT Team, a version of ChatGPT paid for by businesses that employees can use while working. ChatGPT Team allegedly quarantines the company's data, costing between $25 and $30 per user per month. (Zhongxin Jingwei app).
