From April 23rd to 24th, the inaugural meeting of the China Food Industry and Education Integration Community (National Food Industry Vocational Education Group) and the first National Food Industry Industry Industry Integration Development Conference were held in Beijing. At the meeting, Shandong Pharmaceutical and Food Vocational College was elected as the executive director unit of the community.
Approved as the market supervision science popularization base of the General Administration
Since June 2023, the Food Safety Culture Center and Food Safety Experience Center of our institute have been approved as the science popularization base of the State Administration for Market Regulation, relying on the base, the Department of Food has carried out various activities, such as visits, research and other activities, high participation and colorful characteristic science education activities for different groups of people around the themes of food safety and nutrition and health, and has received more than 5,000 people from the public and personnel of enterprises and institutions.
International exchange enlightens wisdomTanzania's National Occupational Standards Output
The development project of Tanzania National Vocational Standards (Food Safety Management Engineer Level 7) led by the Department of Food Science of our college was successfully completed, and passed the audit and certification of the Tanzania National Vocational Education Commission, and was officially incorporated into the Tanzania national vocational education system. This work is the first international professional standard exported by the Department of Food Science, which marks the further improvement of the practical ability of the Department of Food in the international exchange and development of vocational education.
Explore new models of Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools
The Department of Food has steadily promoted the construction of food inspection and testing technology (Sino-foreign cooperation). Adhere to the "I" as the mainstay, talent co-education; "Quality" and "quantity" are grasped together, and integrated and innovated. Establish a special project team, form a new model of periodic monitoring, feedback, and continuous improvement, and increase the integration of high-quality educational resources. With Xuetong as a platform, the two sides jointly build and share characteristic integration courses. Relying on the food safety and nutrition research platform, integrate the scientific research resources of both sides, actively expand the field of cooperation, improve the cooperation mode, broaden the depth of cooperation, and enhance the scientific research and innovation ability of the teaching team. Talent training: double training of virtue and technologyFrom December 19th to 21st, the 16th Shandong Vocational College Skills Competition "Food Safety and Quality Inspection" was held in Rizhao Vocational and Technical College, and 31 teams from vocational colleges in the province participated. Sun Yuqing, a 2022 food quality and safety major in the Department of Food, and Ma Yaqi, a food inspection and testing technology major, won the second prize of the group under the guidance of teachers Zhang Yanan and Xue Xiangju.
On October 13th, the 13th "Hairong Cup" National Vocational and Technical College Students' Creative West Point Technology Competition was held in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center, with 100 contestants from 55 higher vocational colleges across the country competing on the same field to show their skills and style.
