In order to cope with the weekend holiday passenger gathering, the Yangtze River Delta railway department plans to open 264 additional passenger trains today and reconnect 90 EMU trains to meet the travel needs of passengers to the greatest extent by increasing the capacity of seats. In order to cope with the large flow of arriving passengers, railway stations in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei and other places anticipated in advance and dispatched additional manpower at the platforms, elevator entrances, exit entrances and other locations to do a good job in guiding the arrival passenger flow.
Shanghai Hongqiao, Hangzhou East, Hangzhou West, Nanjing South, Hefei South, Xuzhou East, Yangzhou East, Huai'an East, Jinhua South, Yongkang South, Jiaxing South and other stations have optimized the flow lines in and out of the station, added security channels, and transferred turnstiles to ensure the smooth flow of passengers during peak passenger flows. The passenger depots of Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Hefei are equipped with basic medicine boxes, luggage stickers, sewing kits and other items on their respective trains in case of passengers' needs. Railway stations in Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou and other places have increased volunteer investment to serve passengers returning to work.
The railway department reminds the majority of passengers that during the peak period of the return of the Spring Festival, passenger travel is concentrated, and the passenger flow from many railway stations in the Yangtze River Delta to and from the station is maintained at a high level.
