The theme of this year's Wetlands Day is "Wetlands and Human Well-being". The Administration of Qixinghe National Nature Reserve set up two publicity stations in the People's Square of Baoqing County and the Jiatesco supermarket, hung propaganda banners and pasted publicity posters on the spot. During the event, the staff of the reserve distributed wetland law popularization manuals, leaflets, bird albums, wetland day posters, etc., to the passers-by, explaining the importance of wetland protection and the close relationship between wetlands and human development. call on people not to carry out illegal fishing, hunting, logging and other activities that damage the ecological environment within the wetlands; Do not harm wild animals, do not poison birds, do not harm birds, do not hunt indiscriminately, and refuse to eat wild meat; Advocate a green lifestyle, reduce the use of disposable plastic products, avoid littering and other behaviors, reduce pollution to wetlands from the source, and actively participate in ecological protection.

On the day of the event, more than 1,000 copies of various publicity materials were distributed, and more than 2,000 people were educated and educated. This publicity activity allowed people to further understand the value and function of wetlands, and raised the awareness of wetland protection among the general public. Everyone expressed that they would unite as one to build a beautiful home where man and nature coexist in harmony.

Qixinghe National Nature Reserve is located in the hinterland of the Sanjiang Plain, with 20,000 hectares of reed swamp wetland, which is one of the most complete, representative and typical swamp wetlands on the Sanjiang Plain, and is a national ecological function demonstration area and wetland protection core area.

In recent years, Qixinghe Wetland has adhered to the concept of ecological priority and green development, put wetland protection in a prominent position, completed the return of more than 20,000 acres of farmland to wetland, and effectively restored the original features of the wetland. At present, the total number of migratory birds in the wetland has reached more than 400,000 and 236 species, including 9 species of national first-class key protected birds, including red-crowned crane, white-headed crane, white-naped crane and oriental white stork, and 54 species of national second-class key protected birds, such as white spoonbill, white-fronted goose, whooper swan and mandarin duck. At the same time, it adheres to the principle of "engaging in tourism within and outside the region", and carefully creates a comprehensive service area in Dongqiang that integrates functions such as leisure sports, wetland sightseeing, catering and accommodation, and convention and exhibition affairs, which comprehensively improves the function and quality of the wetland. Today, Qixinghe Wetland has become an important base for scientific research, education and eco-tourism in our province, and Baoqing County is well-known as the "hometown of China's white spoonbill", and the tourism brand awareness and influence of "wetland bird watching, the best in Baoqing" have been significantly improved.
