The 2024 Players Championship will be played from 19 to 25 February at the Telford International Centre in England and is the second high-ranking event in the 2023 2024 Players Series to have access to the top 32 in a single season, the Players Championship only to the top 16 in a single season, and the Tour Championship to invite the top 8 in a single season).
The Players Championship began as the Players Tour Finals in 2011 and has evolved into its current ranking tournament since 2017, with the 2023 Players Championship winner being Sean. Murphy, but Murphy is currently ranked only 26th in the season, and he is thus succeeded by O'Sullivan (2019 2020 season) and Neil. After Robertson (2022 2023), he is the third defending champion to be unable to step into the Players Championship and Tour Championship as the defending champions, but they are also the only players who have won both the Players Championship and the Tour Championship in the same season so far.
The winner will receive £125,000, the runners-up £50,000, the semi-finals (quarterfinals): £30,000, and the quarterfinals (quarterfinals): 1£50,000, first round (round of 16): £10,000, highest score in a single stroke (including 147): £10,000, total prize money £385,000.
