Due to the emergence of a large number of drugs with serious damage to the auditory nerve in recent years, coupled with irrational use, the incidence of toxic deafness caused by aminoglycosides such as gentamicin continues to rise. According to relevant surveys, the number of drug-toxic deafness patients accounts for the majority of all deaf patients, with 20,000-40,000 new cases every year, showing an obvious upward trend. Aminoglycosides, such as gentamicin and kanamycin, are the most common cause of sensory hearing loss in children. At present, the medical community generally believes that the damage of ototoxic drugs to the cochlea and auditory nerve is difficult. However, according to historical data, literature reports and clinical experience, on the basis of inheriting the traditional medical methods of the motherland, we used traditional Chinese medicine to awaken the ear and smart decoction, acupuncture, combined with electroacupuncture, massage, infusion and other traditional Chinese and Western medicine, to carry out 659 cases of deafness patients with residual hearing. After synthesis, the effective rate is as high as about 90%, and the apparent efficiency is about 35%. This result suggests that drug-toxic deafness is possible to be obtained through **. This not only brings hope to patients with drug-toxic deafness, but also provides new ideas and methods for the medical community in such diseases.
