CBA rookie Hansen Yang's draft heat continues to rise. A major draft pick, No Ceilings, recently posted an article dedicated to him, and it has been previously reported that Miami Heat scouts have visited Qingdao, possibly to further observe Yang Hansen's performance. In the article, No Ceilings noted that Yang made a strong impression at the FIBA U19 World Cup last summer, especially in terms of overall ability in defense, interior scoring and passing vision. He averaged 126 points, 104 rebounds and 47 assists and an average of 50 blocks lead.
Offensively, Young showed excellent footwork, fluidity, and feel to the basket, as well as an excellent understanding of finishing angles. However, he is relatively weak in terms of strength and prefers to utilize skill rather than strength. Defensively, he leads the CBA team in blocks counts, but there is still room for improvement in some areas.
No Ceilings said that at the moment, it seems that Yang Hansen's prospects in the NBA are not so promising, but he is expected to be an excellent NBA backup player in the coming years. The unique characteristics of his combination of size, feel under the basket, and passing vision may attract the attention of some teams.
