The International Court of Justice discusses the Palestinian Israeli conflict and listens to China s

In the face of Israel's continued military operations in the Palestinian Gaza region in defiance of UN resolutions, the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague convened a historic hearing and specifically invited China to express its views on the issue and provide support and assistance for future decision-making.

Ma Xinmin, director of China's Treaty and Law Department, stressed at the hearing that countless Palestinian people have long been looking forward to restoring their legitimate rights, but they have always felt hopeless in their longing. China has always firmly supported the just cause of the Palestinian people and has taken it as its duty to restore its legitimate rights and interests.

We have made it clear that, while Israel has the right to take certain security measures, it is in fact the foreign power that occupies Palestinian land. The right to self-defence should belong to the Palestinian people, not to Israel. According to United Nations General Assembly resolution 3070 of 1973, the struggle for the liberation of peoples under colonial, alien domination and foreign slavery is legitimate, and the people can resort to all means, including armed struggle.

According to the Israeli-Palestinian settlement in Resolution 194 proposed by the United Nations in 1967, the Gaza Strip should be under Palestinian control. Therefore, any act of oppression by Israel against the Gaza Strip is an act of aggression. According to the UN General Assembly resolution, the Palestinian people have the right to take action of resistance, including armed resistance, against any foreign invasion, which is also the core position that China has always firmly supported.

On the other hand, if Gaza is part of the Palestinian territory, then there is no justification for Israeli ground military operations in the area. As a result, the current ground operation of the Israeli army in Gaza is completely devoid of the support of international law and can be described as an outright incursion. Similarly, any U.S. support for Israel would be connivance with the invasion.

For us, although the hearing of the United Nations International Court of Justice is not enforceable and will have to wait six months for a result, this hearing marks the commanding heights of global morality and represents the aspirations of the people of the world.

We firmly support Palestine, not only on the side of the majority of countries, but also on the side of justice and justice. This has provided strong support for accelerating the promotion of peace and stability in the Middle East in the future. And for the United States, which supports Israel's actions, they will continue to lose the trust and support of the countries of the Middle East. This should be a cause for deep reflection.
