Wen Lu Peng.
Inscription: A masterpiece is a book that many people think they have read but have not read.
Due to my work, I have been writing non-stop recently, and there are many advertorials, reports, project bids, press releases, advertising copy, product manuals, case introductions, etc. After a period of time, I feel that the "thesaurus" in my stomach seems to be about to be emptied, especially in the process of writing advertising copy, it is necessary to be concise and highly refined, often to express too many layers of meaning in a short sentence or even a few words, I often don't know how to write. I'm about to run out of donkey skills, so I have to find a way to recharge, I can't turn it upside down every time, and I'll be disgusted when I read it. I wanted to see some sample essays of application essays to improve, but I found that most of these so-called "model essays" are similar and repetitive, without new ideas, and have little merit. After thinking about it, I decided to supplement my vocabulary from classical Chinese literature, and ancient Chinese is still far superior to modern Chinese in terms of refinement. However, the busy pace of life does not allow me to read those long and huge works, so I hope to find some short and complete ancient texts to read.
For many years, I have always had a great prejudice against "Strange Tales from Liao Zhai", and it seems that the description in it is too simple, and even its prominent position in Chinese literature is difficult to understand, but after reading it carefully, I found that I am so superficial. The seemingly plain language is actually the author's artistic technique of not carving and painting, specializing in white drawing, natural and fresh, and full of poetry. I remember George Bernard Shaw once wrote back to a friend of his friends, saying that he had not had time to write you a short letter because he had been busy lately. Pu Songling's brushwork verifies Master Xiao's insights, and the concise brushstrokes contain a great deal of mastery and skillful use of words. Although I was not able to read the whole book, I changed my opinion through these dozen classic stories. As the inscription says, have you really read the famous books you think you have read?
Some feelings take time to truly understand. Although I found that there are still some slightly dross things in "Strange Tales from Liao Zhai", I have deeply loved this classic, which not only reflects the charm of the ancient Chinese language, but also teaches me some storytelling methods, some customs and customs of the feudal era, as well as those vivid images and touching storylines.
A few days ago, when I read Wu Xiaobo's "One Hundred Years of Wandering", I was always puzzled: why did most of the stories and clues that I could clearly understand when I read it be forgotten so quickly? I aspire to become a strong man who will never forget, but if a person has to fight against his own forgetting curve, he really can't win the sky, let him go. Although I can't remember it completely after reading the book, I can pick it up at any time in the future and talk about it. After watching "Strange Tales from Liaozhai", I still can't describe many complexes one by one, but I can always expand my infinite imagination under the guidance of beautiful words, or sigh, or refreshed, and the classical charm has given me comprehensive edification and enlightenment, and it should not be an exaggeration to benefit me for a lifetime.
With a bit of entertainment spirit, combined with my own preferences, I made a simple ranking of these ghost fox images that I have seen, in the eyes of a thousand readers, there are a thousand Hamlets, the following is purely a personal opinion, just a chatter:
1, Yan Ruyu "Bookworm".
2, Ah Bao "Ah Bao".
3, Xiao Xie "Xiao Xie".
4, Yun Cui Xian "Yun Cui Xian".
5, A embroidery "A embroidery".
6, Ying Ning "Ying Ning".
7, Ge Scarf "Ge Scarf".
9, the Three Ladies of the Lotus "The Three Ladies of the Lotus".
10, Pian Pian "Pian Pian".
The original intention of watching "Strange Tales from Liaozhai" is not to do research, but to enrich the vocabulary and observe Pu Songling's way of telling stories. It's also my own reading experience and summary.
