During the Vietnam War, our country provided pro bono assistance to Vietnam and helped it achieve victory. The reason why Japan has made this decision is that Japan has always upheld the concept of peace and friendship, adhered to justice, and was willing to help countries in need.
However, after the end of the war, Vietnam regarded our country as a hostile force and repeatedly provoked our territorial security and endangered the safety of our people's lives and property. Although our country has always advocated peace, we will not back down in the face of encroachment by others.
Therefore, in the face of repeated provocations by Vietnam, our country repeatedly issued warnings, but to no avail. In the end, a self-defense counterattack war against Vietnam broke out, and more than 200,000 PLA soldiers rushed to the battlefield without hesitation to defend China's territorial security and prevent Vietnamese harassment.
Vietnam thought that they would be able to defeat our country with the best they had obtained, but the reality gave them a painful lesson. In less than a month, our country managed to defeat the Vietnamese army, occupy the territory of Vietnam, and achieve an overwhelming victory.
This war made the Vietnamese side deeply appreciate the majesty and momentum of our PLA soldiers.
In the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, our army paid a huge price for victory. According to statistics, more than 8,500 PLA soldiers died in the sacrifice, including the sons of ten chiefs.
Although they could have enjoyed a comfortable life, they resolutely chose to join the army and contribute to the cause of peace in the country. Who are they? How did their father react when he heard the news of his son's death?
Master Zhang personally went through the back door for his son, but this does not mean that he dotes on his son, on the contrary, he is very strict and hopes that his son will succeed through his own efforts.
Zhang Zhixin's son Zhang Zhang lived a hard life in the army, honed himself with hard training, and became a pacesetter in the army. He doesn't tell anyone who he is, relying on his excellent abilities to become a scout.
When the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out in 1979, Zhang Zhang received an order not to go to the front line for the time being, but he listened to his father's teachings since he was a child and established the dream of joining the army and serving the country, so he wrote a letter to his father hoping to go to the front line.
After reading the letter, the father used his privilege to transfer Zhang Li to the front-line troops, but Zhang Li was just an ordinary fighter. He fought on the front lines and became an excellent scout, repeatedly performing well in operations and being appreciated by the squad leader of the unit.
Tension is in the line of fire to join the party, and the future is bright.
In the face of a sudden enemy siege, Zhang Li led his comrades to counterattack, but he was unfortunately hit in the waist by the enemy and was physically injured. Despite this, he still cared about the safety of his comrades, and decided to stay behind and cover his comrades' breakthroughs.
His decision shocked his squad leader, but Zhang Zhang insisted on his own idea, and for the safety of all his comrades, in the end, the squad leader broke out with most of his comrades according to his advice.
Although Zhang Lili was left behind and successfully covered his comrades, he died heroically in the battle at the age of 21. The squad commander then reported the identity of Zhang Zhang and the news of his sacrifice to the company commander, and the company commander was shocked when he learned that he was the son of the division commander, and hurriedly sent the news to the division political commissar.
The political commissar of the division knew Zhang Li's identity, and he was very sad when he learned the news of Zhang Li's death, but he was worried that the division commander would suffer a blow, so he decided to hide the news first.
Zhang Zhixin, as a battle-hardened general, was keenly aware of the political commissar's emotional abnormality, and he realized that something bad had happened.
Under his constant questioning, the political commissar finally handed over the telegram to Zhang Zhixin. When he saw the contents of the telegram, his eyes opened slightly, his body instantly stiffened, and he began to tremble slightly, as if he would fall down at any moment.
Three minutes passed, and he remained in this position, as if he was thinking quietly, and there was silence around him, and no one dared to disturb him. In the fourth minute, his face regained his composure and he continued to deploy for battle.
He knew that the battle was not over, and as a division commander, the troops still needed him, and he could not fall. Even when he was grief-stricken, he struggled to control himself. The political commissar standing on the side couldn't stand it and persuaded him to take a rest.
But Zhang Zhixin replied firmly: "Where there is war, there will be sacrifice, and my son, like an ordinary soldier, sacrificed for the motherland and the people, and died a well-deserved death." ”
Since then, Zhang Zhixin has always carried his son's ** with him and has never left his body. At the end of the war, Zhang Zhixin received special permission from the organization to allow him to bring his son's bones home.
But he resolutely refused, saying that his son was not special during his lifetime, and he would not be special after his sacrifice. As a result, Zhang Zhang was buried in the Jingxi Martyrs Cemetery in Guangxi. Zhang Zhixin once secretly went to see it and offered a small wreath of flowers with his own hands.
As a soldier, he was proud of his son, but as a father, his heart was full of pain. In 1984, Master Zhang retired, and the organization arranged a comfortable house for him to spend his old age in peace.
However, he continued to live in that humble house on the grounds that he was not used to living in a large house. In 2009, Zhang Zhixin had a heart attack and came back to life after rescue, but after waking up, he held his wife's hand and said that he had dreamed of his son and he was going to see his son.
Hearing this, the wife was shocked, and according to his current physical condition, it was obvious that he could not travel long distances. But Zhang Zhixin insisted on going, and no one else could stop him, and finally they came to Guangxi in March to visit their son.
Zhang Zhixin stood in front of Zhang Li's tombstone, crying bitterly. He told his son, you are a good soldier for your father, my days are numbered, and we can fight side by side again.
In 1958, Geng Jinfu was stationed in the army for a long time, and his two sons were born a few years later, Geng Jun and Geng Xiaokang were influenced by their father and joined the army in 1978 and entered the 150th Division.
Geng Jinfu was strict with his two sons and trained hard. In 1979, the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam broke out, and the 150th Division rushed to the battlefield.
From the moment they set foot on the front line of the battlefield, they were destined to die and die, and the two were ready to sacrifice at any time, leaving a suicide note, instructing their comrades-in-arms to help them transfer to their parents if they died.
But what they didn't know was that in fact, Geng Jinfu and his wife had already learned the news that their two sons were on the battlefield, and in order not to worry their sons, they also pretended not to know, so that their sons could rest assured that they would go to the battlefield to fight.
Units of the 150th Regiment of the 448th Division fell into the deep mountains and jungles of Vietnam. The battle began, and because the Vietnamese army was very familiar with the terrain, it quickly occupied a favorable position and surrounded our troops layer by layer.
Our army immediately launched a counterattack, waiting for the support of a large force while counterattacking, looking for an opportunity to break through. Like Zhang Zhixin, Geng Jinfu was also strict with his two sons and underwent hard training.
Although he was old, under the arrangement of the organization, he transferred to the local government.
FigGeng Jun and Geng Xiaokang fought fiercely with the enemy in the night, although they were in a desperate situation, they still persevered, and for the survival of their comrades and the honor of the motherland, they chose to sacrifice.
Geng Xiaokang is the leader of the fireteam team, and he uses his courage and wisdom to open up a way for his teammates to survive. Unfortunately, however, he died in this battle at the age of 18.
And his elder brother Geng Jun is also fighting to cover his teammates, and he used his life to buy time for his teammates to survive. At the moment of crisis, they chose to jump off the cliff to express their unyielding spirit.
Their actions show people the power of courage and tenacity. The state praised them vigorously, and their parents received their suicide note, which read: "Dear Mom and Dad, we will soon go to war.
If we can't come back, please live well. Xiaokang and I have nothing to leave to you, only 12 yuan and a straw mat, this is our heart. While their sacrifice is heart-wrenching, their spirit will always inspire us.
FigGeng Jinfu's family took a group photo of the impermanence of the world, which always makes people feel painful. Geng Jinfu and his wife experienced the pain of the white-haired man sending the black-haired man, and although their grief gradually lessened as time passed, the longing for the two sons who died never stopped.
Thankfully, their only daughter also joined the barracks to serve the motherland, which made Geng Jinfu and his wife feel a little comforted. Geng Jinfu and his wife grew up in a heroic family, his father participated in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and made many achievements, and his mother went to the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, which are the embodiment of their family style.
Qu Ningjiang has established the ambition of joining the army to serve the country since he was a child, and when he was a student, his favorite was also the Red Revolution book. When he grew up, he joined the army without hesitation and trained himself to serve the country.
However, he was thin and handsome, and was once ridiculed by his comrades. But instead of being discouraged, he used it as motivation to train harder and improve his physical fitness.
On the training ground, he was known as a sharpshooter for his accurate shooting skills. After the outbreak of the self-defense counterattack war against Vietnam, he immediately wrote a letter asking to join the war and go to the front line of the battlefield.
After some twists and turns, he successfully came to the front line of the battlefield. During a battle, he was unfortunately hit by a bullet in order to save a female paramedics. Even though he was physically wounded, he did not give up and continued to fight with his comrades until he was hit in the chest again by a bullet during the battle and died a heroic death.
His heroic performance won people's admiration and respect.
Qu Ningjiang's persistence in fighting is impressive. However, not all chiefs are in favor of having their children enlist in the army, and Zhou Kaiyuan is one of them. He joined the Eighth Route Army at the age of 15 and participated in the War of Resistance Against Japan, the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and has rich combat experience.
He was mainly engaged in propaganda and political commissar work in the army, and his ideological consciousness was extremely high, and he joined the party organization very early and often mingled with the fighters. However, it is precisely because he joined the army since he was a child and knows that the life of soldiers is hard, so he thinks that his son Zhou Wei, who has not lacked food and clothing since he was a child, is not suitable for joining the army.
He believes that a qualified soldier must not only have excellent physical fitness, but also have the most far-sighted ideological awareness. The most important thing is that being a soldier is not a child's play, and soldiers train themselves through training that has been tempered thousands of times.
However, Zhou Wei has lived a worry-free life since he was a child, and his ideological consciousness is not high, so he obviously does not have the conditions to become a strong-willed warrior. Therefore, he wanted to let Zhou Wei exercise in society for a while before thinking about other things.
Zhou Wei became a factory worker and lived an ordinary life, but this was not what he wanted. Under the influence of his father, he always had the idea of joining the army.
For this reason, he applied to his father many times to allow him to join the army, but Zhou Kaiyuan refused each time. However, Zhou Wei did not give up, he thought, since his father's troops could not enter, why not try other troops?
So, he signed up for the conscription of the 123rd Division without telling his father, and successfully passed the assessment and joined the army. After Zhou Kaiyuan learned about his son's behavior, he didn't get angry, he thought that since his son wanted to go, let him exercise.
In this way, Zhou Wei officially became a soldier and began a hard training career.
Zhou Wei wanted to grow up independently and refused his father's arrangement. Although his father wanted him to be trained in his own army, Zhou Wei still held on to his beliefs and decided to rely on his own abilities to fight.
Before leaving, his father reminded him to obey orders, not to be arrogant because of his status as a cadre's child, and to train in a down-to-earth manner. Zhou Wei kept in mind his father's teachings, trained hard, and did not shout bitterness or tiredness.
His performance was a great relief to his father. In the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, Zhou Wei unfortunately died, which made his father extremely sad. However, he quickly adjusted his emotions and insisted on directing the battle until victory.
Years later, the father spoke of his son's performance with pride and thought that he had grown into a qualified soldier. Although Zhou Wei is no longer there, his spirit and his father's teachings still influence many people.
On September 11, 2017, Zhou Kaiyuan passed away with thoughts and regrets for his son.
They were the bravest of the warriors, and their father was the highest-ranking officer, but they did not receive any privileges for this, but instead led by example on the battlefield, showing great courage and sacrifice.
Peng Hong, Jiang Luping, Luo Yuening, Cao Hui, Zhao Youlin, Pu Shiping, and the sons of ten other chiefs, all of whom died on the battlefield in Vietnam, sacrificed their lives and forgot their deaths for the sake of the country and the people, and composed a heroic hymn.
Most of them are young people in their early twenties, but they have interpreted loyalty and responsibility with their lives. They are true heroes and deserve to be remembered forever.
