Born in a family that made a living from handicrafts, Zhang Tingfa learned a good craft from his father, but in the face of the oppression of the old society, Zhang Tingfa's life was not good. But fortunately, Zhang Tingfa's father is not a pedantic person. While Zhang Tingfa was learning the craft, he also sent Zhang Ting to the school to receive a good cultural education. This also laid a solid foundation for Zhang Tingfa's future fate. In August 1933, Zhang Tingfa's hometown ushered in the liberation. The Eastern Army of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army liberated Shaxian, and Zhang Tingfa sent his work to welcome the Red Army into the city like the rest of the people, and the arrival of the Red Army troops illuminated the city of Shaxian. Zhang Tingfa watched the Red Army troops eliminate the landlords and gentry who had been oppressing everyone all along, and established the Soviet power, so Zhang Tingfa joined it without hesitation. In October 1934, the Red Army began the Long March, and Zhang Tingfa followed it. Zhang Tingfa, who was clever and had a cultural foundation, was soon selected as a communications cadre of the regiment, and Zhang Tingfa was able to successfully complete the task of transmitting news assigned by his superiors. But the Long March was full of dangers, Zhang Tingfa was careless and was seriously injured in the left leg by the enemy, and when everyone suggested that Zhang Tingfa stay to recuperate, Zhang Tingfa refused. Zhang Tingfa, who was only in his twenties, dragged his seriously injured left leg to keep up with the troops. The medical environment was too poor during the Long March, and in the later period, Zhang Tingfa's left leg even began to fester. After the Long March, Zhang Tingfa, who had been trained, gradually grew from a hairy boy to a qualified commander. After the start of the full-scale War of Resistance Against Japan, Zhang Tingfa also followed the troops north to participate in the War of Resistance against Japan. During the Anti-Japanese War, Zhang Tingfa was incorporated into the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army led by Deng Gong and ***. Zhang Tingfa relied on his courage to fight and full of tenacity, and soon achieved great military achievements, and even promoted to the commander of the Seventh Army Division of the Taihang Military Region in 1944. At that time, Zhang Tingfa was only 26 years old. It is worth mentioning that there was also an interesting incident during Zhang Tingfa's tenure under Deng Gong. During the Anti-Japanese War, materials were scarce, and every truck was an incomparably scarce resource. Deng Gong handed over the command of these trucks to Zhang Tingfa and let Zhang Tingfa use them properly. But once, the big truck in which Deng Gong and *** were riding accidentally fell into a muddy road on a rainy day. After Zhang Tingfa found out, he was anxious to save Deng Gong and others, so he launched seven trucks to rescue, but after rescuing Deng Gong, he was criticized by Deng Gong. Zhang Tingfa felt very aggrieved, so he directly lifted the table and said, "I'm not doing it, I'm going back to Handan!" So he went away in a rage. Later, after Deng Gong learned that Zhang Tingfa was to rescue him, he personally found Zhang Tingfa and educated: "You are a soldier and a general, I am the highest person in charge of this war zone, do you still have any opinions if you criticize you?" Zhang Tingfa also knew that he had done wrong, so he apologized to Deng Gong. Later, when the People's Republic of China was founded, Zhang Tingfa was awarded the rank of major general. In 1962, when China's air force was short of talents, Zhang Tingfa was appointed deputy commander of the air force because of his experience in commanding traffic troops. But in those years, Zhang Tingfa was affected and temporarily suspended, and the development of the Air Force stagnated. In those days and in the years that followed, the Air Force was in a constant state of changing commanders. It was not until 1977 that Zhang Tingfa was rehabilitated, and then became the commander of the Air Force, that our Air Force stabilized. In 1985, Zhang Tingfa responded to Deng Gong's call to "leave opportunities to young people" and retreated to the second line, but Zhang Tingfa was still concerned about the country in the second line. Until March 2010, 92-year-old Zhang Ting died of illness.
