This article introduces a comparison between traditional denitrification and the latest denitrification technologies.

1. Traditional denitrification methods

The traditional biototal nitrogen process is completed in two steps, the first step is nitrification, which converts ammonia nitrogen into nitrate nitrogen; The second step is denitrification, which converts nitrate nitrogen into nitrogen to complete the removal of total nitrogen.

The traditional denitrification technology has the following disadvantages: (1) The carbon source content of the secondary treatment effluent is very low, and the c:n value is far lower than the reasonable range, so it is very difficult to further denitrification. (2) Increasing the total nitrogen removal rate often over-aeration to increase the degree of nitrification, thereby improving the denitrification efficiency and high energy consumption. (3) It is difficult to control the supplementary carbon source, and the excessive dosing of the carbon source often leads to the excess of the effluent. The large growth of microorganisms leads to reactor clogging and sludge production, which greatly limits its application in practical engineering.

2. New technology for efficient biological denitrification

High-efficiency biochemical denitrification technology is mainly a new process developed for the deep denitrification needs of high-concentration total nitrogen wastewater, which is a cylindrical tower structure equipment with high diameter ratio, specially developed for all kinds of industrial wastewater treatment, which can solve the problem of excessive total nitrogen in the effluent of biochemical secondary sedimentation tank in electroplating, chemical industry, circuit board, medicine, printing and dyeing, food and other industries, as well as the problem of excessive total nitrogen in wastewater after the use of nitric acid in large flow in steel, glass, photovoltaic and other industries, and can be applied to the water quality characteristics of industrial wastewater with high salinity, high toxicity, high nitrate and large fluctuations. The high-efficiency denitrification reactor has a dense structure and good total nitrogen treatment capacity through three major technologies: professional biological denitrification strains, specially customized porous fillers, and rapid nitrogen release, and its internal inlet water and nitrification liquid surface flow distribution are optimized to establish a smooth exhaust microchannel, which improves the stability and denitrification efficiency of the reactor, and reduces the floor space and energy consumption. In the solution case, the total nitrogen of the inlet water is 5000mg l, and the effluent limit is 5mg l.
