If the crew accidentally falls off the aircraft carrier, can they still be saved?

I have experience with this: whether it is an aircraft carrier or an ordinary ship, the crew generally does not fall, and once it falls, it is basically impossible to save it.

I worked on maritime issues from 91 to 99, and I often sailed to sea (see my article I experienced the Third Taiwan Strait Crisis (1) Departure), and then I encountered a level 8 sea situation.

I saw the rats on the boat, seasick like people, unbearable, like arrows, whizzing into the sea ......

There was an old comrade in our test team, who was in his early 50s, and he couldn't stand the dizziness, so he wanted to jump into the sea ......

Everyone was so frightened that the captain rushed over and directed the soldiers to tie him to the bed while scaring him to tie him to the mast.

When the turmoil passes, I will ask the captain if I can be saved if I fall?

The captain told me that don't say that the eighth-level sea conditions, even if the wind and waves are usually calm, they can't be saved, if you wear a life jacket (brightly colored), your swimming skills are first-class, and you have a "just in case" survival probability:

1) High-rise falls. The deck is generally twenty or thirty meters high, and if you fall down and shoot on the water, it is easy to faint directly, and then choke on the water and sink, which is not easy to save!

2) Undercurrents surge. There is a special undercurrent around the boat, especially the stern, the propeller brings a huge undercurrent, and it is easy to get involved in the whirlpool after falling, and it cannot be saved.

3) Dynamic search. Falling on the sea, if there are no bright clothes, it is basically a drop in the ocean, you can't find it visually, the boat is moving again, and you don't know how to rescue it.

4) The sea is cold. There will be rapid hypothermia in the sea, people still have swimming, physical energy consumption is very fast, people's persistence time is very short, and they can't be saved within two hours, so they will naturally die.

5) Marine life is ferocious, and all kinds of threats are .......

So offshore platforms have a lot of safety facilities to ensure that you don't fall down.
