1. Material and characteristics.
06Cr18Ni13Si4 is an austenitic heat-resistant steel with excellent antioxidant properties, good high-temperature mechanical properties and excellent processing properties. This steel is made with the addition of nickel in 06Cr19Ni10 and the addition of silicon to improve the resistance to stress corrosion fracture. Therefore, 06Cr18Ni13Si4 has higher corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.
Second, the implementation of standards.
The Chinese National Standard GB 1220-92 specifies the requirements for stainless steel bars, wires and profiles. Among them, for 06Cr18Ni13Si4 stainless steel, its chemical composition and mechanical properties should meet the requirements of national standards.
3. Chemical composition.
The chemical composition of 06Cr18Ni13Si4 stainless steel mainly includes: Carbon(C) 008%, manganese (mn) 20%, silicon (Si) 10%, phosphorus (p) 0045%, sulfur (s) 003%, chromium (CR) 1500%~20.00%, nickel (ni) 1150%~15.00%。
Fourth, mechanical properties.
The mechanical properties of 06Cr18Ni13Si4 stainless steel at room temperature are as follows: tensile strength (B) 51MPa, yield strength (S) 205MPa, elongation (δ5) 40%, section shrinkage ( ) 60%. The mechanical properties at high temperatures are also excellent, such as tensile strength and yield strength decrease with increasing temperature, and elongation and section shrinkage increase with increasing temperature.
5. Application. 06CR18Ni13Si4 stainless steel is widely used in chloride-containing environments, such as automobile exhaust purification devices, due to its excellent antioxidant properties, good high-temperature mechanical properties and excellent processing properties. In addition, this steel is also used in the manufacture of other equipment in high-temperature, high-pressure, corrosive environments, such as heaters, boilers, reactors, etc.
6. Summary. 06CR18Ni13Si4 stainless steel is an austenitic heat-resistant steel with excellent properties, which is suitable for equipment manufacturing in chloride-containing environments. Understanding the material properties and areas of application helps us to select the right stainless steel material for our engineering design.
