Meghan Markle and Prince Harry traveled to Canada this week, wearing a sweater similar to the one she wore when she took her official engagement photos.
Meghan Markle's choice of outfit during her trip to Canada this week appears to be a sweet nod to her look during an engagement photo shoot with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex took part in a number of events in British Columbia this week to celebrate the first anniversary of the country's 2025 Undefeated Games. She wears white pants with a cream sweater and a long coat and a blue warm hat.
While it's unclear if the sweater she wore was the same one she wore in her engagement photos, the two look very similar. Meghan also wears the same three-diamond engagement ring that Harry once proposed to her.
At the "Undefeated Games" last September, she was seen not wearing it, which was being repaired at the time because a device had come loose. Designed with the help of Cle**e & Company, a regular jeweler to Queen Elizabeth II, the ring features a large cushion-cut center diamond from Botswana, as well as two side stones, where the Sussexes had a wonderful time. While in Canada this week, Meghan also seemed to be wearing a chic outfit to pay a quiet and sweet greeting to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Yesterday, Harry and Meghan competed in wheelchair curling at the Hillcrest Community Centre in Vancouver. There, the Duchess looked extremely elegant in a £1,028 dark beige sentaler cape with shawl collar detailing and cinched in with a belt.
She paired her chic look with gloves, which could have been a sweet tribute to Princess Diana. Members of the royal family have long worn gloves because they help maintain cleanliness and hygiene, especially when interacting with numerous people during events where handshakes and close contact are common.
Princess Diana often wore gloves when attending events or getting engaged. The former Princess of Wales also likes to wear beige coats, which makes Meghan's outfit more like what her mother-in-law wears.
The couple also relaunched their club name "Archewell" and renamed it "The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex". The launch comes at a time when the King's lean monarchy is under pressure, with Charles postponing all public-facing duties due to a cancer diagnosis and the Princess of Wales being unable to move in the near future following abdominal surgery.
Harry, who lives in California with his wife and two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, flew to the UK last week to visit the king. Less than 24 hours after Charles' health was announced, he didn't have Meghan and their children to visit. But Harry did not meet with his brother, the Prince of Wales, after spending about 45 minutes with their father at Clarence House.
