Recently, the High People's Court of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region made a final judgment in the trademark dispute case between Markor International Household Products Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Markor Home") and Shenzhen Meirui Home Furniture, hereinafter referred to as "Defendant 1 Meirui Home Furnishing"), legal person Lin Mouqi and Yichengrui Home Furnishing Hall (hereinafter referred to as "Defendant 2") on Huizhan Avenue in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The judgment upheld the court of first instance's finding that the defendant had infringed the trademark right of Markor Home and compensated Markor Home 10.05 million yuan. In addition, the defendant also needs to stop using the infringing marks such as the enterprise name and *** of "Meirui Meijia".

Founded in August 1995 and headquartered in Urumqi, Xinjiang, Markor Home Furnishing is a listed company focusing on furniture manufacturing, home furnishing wholesale and retail.

In 2021, Markor Home Furnishing believed that the defendants 1 and 2 Meirui Meijia prominently used the "Meirui Meijia" and other logos, which were very similar to the registered trademark "Markor Meijia", which brought huge economic losses and brand image damage to Markor Home, constituting trademark infringement and unfair competition, so it filed a lawsuit with the court and filed an invalidation declaration with the State Intellectual Property Office against the defendant "Meirui Meijia Chenrui" series of trademarks, which has been invalidated by the CNIPA and is currently in administrative litigation.

The Urumqi Intermediate People's Court of first instance found that the similar infringement was established, and sentenced the two defendants to compensate 10.05 million yuan for economic losses, and the defendant one stopped using the "Meirui Meijia" enterprise name, WeChat***, etc. The Xinjiang High People's Court upheld the original verdict in the second instance, and the judgment has now taken effect. The upholding of the final judgment not only demonstrates the fairness of the law, but also reflects China's importance and determination to protect intellectual property rights.

Markor Home has always attached great importance to brand building and intellectual property protection, and has always adhered to original design and independent innovation, and the company has obtained more than 4,200 patents so far. Since its establishment in 2002, its own brand Markor Home Furnishing has both product power and brand power, and has won many honors issued by administrative organs, national newspapers and networks, and industry organizations, including "China's Most Influential Furniture Brand in Home Furnishing", "Consumers' Favorite Furniture Brand", and "2020 Asia's Top Ten Influential Brands".
