For Spanish landscape architect Fernando Caruncho, plants are the passage between the earth and the sky, and the balance between emptiness and abundance allows light to move freely and flexibly between the vivid landscape, creating the spirit and emotion of the garden.
The former philosopher, who became a landscape architect, integrated the deep relationship between man and the universe into the natural cycle of the garden, and saw it as a journey of thought rather than a simple decoration or entertainment, constructing a meditative world that could heal the soul through the changing and growing plants.
airy studio in madrid
Madrid, Spain.
The search for the conceptual foundations of the landscape is in fact equivalent to interpreting the essence of life, in this corner plot on the outskirts of Madrid, where the cycles of nature and the passage of time are given a solemnity like a religious ritual, and where the design language and the rhythm of space calm people and experience the union of humanity and divinity in space.
Airy Studio's studio space, located mostly below the water level, houses handmade models and related materials of more than six projects, and although the lighting conditions of the building are not sufficient, Fernando Caruncho skillfully uses the high windows on the upper side and the soft lines of the wood to soak up the flowing sequence in a warm atmosphere.
The garden is the highlight of the project, and Fernando Caruncho believes that the dynamic growth of plants is a non-negligible part of the creative process, so he transforms space into a concept of movement by controlling light and volume, exploring the basic concept of life through the realism of time.
famous green garden in madrid
Madrid, Spain.
Early in his career, Fernando Caruncho designed a tranquil garden characterized by monumental geometry, but around 2010 a flower species was inadvertently introduced that destroyed the entire garden's ecosystem due to anthrax, and after many failures, Fernando Caruncho decided to redesign rather than restore its original appearance to breathe new life into the garden.
Fernando Caruncho sowed thousands of white cosmos in the garden to help renew the botanical landscape, and the white petals swaying in the wind against the white clouds replaced the original austere style with the exuberance of rational geometry, presenting a fleeting beauty, and interpreting Fernando Caruncho's philosophy with its fragile and strong character.

In Boca Raton's gardens, progressive concentric circles are the core geometric elements of the overall garden landscape, and the combination of elevation and material elements establishes a clear logical framework and visual effect on the one hand, and at the same time allows different natural elements to merge into a whole, complementing the white building on one side of the garden, emphasizing the philosophical and rational characteristics of the space.

Gloucestershire, England.
This country garden in Gloucestershire is based on the slight undulation of the topography, with a mirrored pool embedded in the square plot at the highest point of the terrain, descending a gentle ramp, and low flora discreetly blending into the lawns on either side, enriching the habitat without disturbing the distant view.
