In the east of the Wen district of Naidong County, there is a ruin of a temple, which is the main temple of the Pazhu Kagyu sect that was prominent 800 years ago, Dansati Monastery, and the practice cave at the foot of the temple is still the same, and it is said that it is the place where the ancestor of the Pazhu Kagyu sect, Dorje Jebu, practiced in those years, so the pilgrimage believers are still in an endless stream.
In the second year of the Iron Tiger in the Tibetan calendar, the founder of the Pazhu Kagyu school, Dorjee Jebu (1110-1170), was born in Naixue in the Jinsha River valley of Kham District. When he was 19 years old, with the purpose of studying, he served as an attendant for the rich, and then traveled a long distance to Qianzang, where he studied Madhyamaka and Enlightenment at the Jama Monastery in Duilong, and later worshiped many **, dabbling in the teachings of the Kadam, Sakya, and Nyingma schools. When he was 41 years old, he met the founder of the Kagyu school, Milarepa, and was attracted by his knowledge, so he enshrined him as a "fundamental teacher" and learned a lot of Buddhist truths. A year later, Dapolaj died, and he gave him many teachings before he died. In 1154, according to the guidance of **, he began to travel around the world, looking for a place to practice.
One day, he came to the ferry port of Zedang Lugong and saw a flat land on the other side of the river, so he crossed the river in a cowhide boat and came to this place called Pazhu. I saw the mountainous topography of this place and the general appearance of ** pointing, and I liked it very much. At this moment several birds chirped above his head, and then disappeared into a cave. Dorjee Jebu followed the bird to the cave and found that it was a good place to practice, so he lived and practiced here, and during the practice, he took some of the followers who followed him as **. Several years passed in a blink of an eye, and in 1158, Dorjee Jebu and his ** built Dansati Monastery next to the practice cave, and later they used it as the main temple and founded their own sect.
Dorjee Jebu believed in the Kagyu school, and the place where they built the temple was called Pamuzhu, so Dorjee Jebu was called Pamudrukpa Dorjeebu, and the sect he founded was called the Pazhu Kagyu school, which became one of the four major branches of the Kagyu school Dabu Kagyu. Later, many of his ** built monasteries in various places in Kangzang to receive disciples, and gave birth to eight branches of the Pazhu Kagyu school, which are Zhigong Kagyu, Dayuan Kagyu, Zhupa Kagyu, Yasang Kagyu, Chubu Kagyu, Shusai Kagyu, Yepa Kagyu, and Macang Kagyu.
At the site of Dansati Monastery, there is a large family, which is the Lang family, which is very famous in Tibetan history. According to their family history "Lang Family: Lingxi Treasure Scroll", their ancestors were the descendants of the Seqiongcha clan, one of the six major family names in ancient times. According to the genealogy, their grandfather was a peculiar boy who was born with a mist as white as a conch on his head, and the father was very happy when he saw the child, and said again and again, "Ronso!"Ranso (it's water vapor)! The child was later named "Lasher Pampoche Lang", which means Pampoche of the Lang clan, and their family became known as the Lang family.
The Lang family has produced many celebrities over the generations, the most famous of which are Tubo Zanpu Trisong Detsen's great minister Lun Lang Kangba Gocha and Padmasambhava's descendant **Ami Autumn Gui, etc., who are proud of their descendants. Perhaps, because of this background, the Lang family has served as the local governor of Pazhu for generations. Of course, there is also a possibility that their family is a wealthy family, so they want to associate their ancestors with the ancient Zampu.
Like all local families, their families have been ordained monks for generations, according to custom. The Lang family tree said that when their family was passed down to 20 generations, there was a monk in the family, named Zhaba Zhenai (11751258), he became a monk since he was a child, and later followed the ** Zhigongba of Pamu Zhuba, worshipped him as a teacher, and studied the law for 17 years. During this period, he was inseparable from his teacher, and he was known as "Jingru" (meaning the person in front of him).
In 1208, Jing'o Zaba Zhenai became the temple master of Dansati Temple, and he did it for 33 years, and in his later years, he also served as the Dharma platform of Zhigong Temple. Legend has it that when he was protecting the Dharma platform of the two monasteries, the Mongolian prince Koduan sent the general Darnabo to lead his troops to **, and Zhaba Zhenai received them and prayed for Tara to rain stones, so that Dardanaba believed in him very much. In his letter to Kuduan, the general mentioned that "the Kagyu sect of the Jingru master is very powerful." From the beginning of the Zhaba Zhennai, the position of the head of the temple was inherited by the brothers and nephews of the Lang family, and "Jing Russia" became the special title of the person who served as the temple seat of the Lang family. Since then, the name of Pamu Zhuba is not only the name of the ancestor of the sect, but also the name of the sect, and the name of the Lang family, who is also in charge of the religious affairs and local government affairs of the sect, and the Lang family is called the Pazhu Lang family.
