In 2023, a total of 611 old communities in 14 counties (cities and districts) involved in the renovation of old communities in our city will be completed, comprehensively improving the living environment, facilities and service functions of old communities and communities, and promoting the construction of complete communities that are safe and healthy, with perfect facilities and orderly management.
We now feel as if we have moved into a new neighborhood! In the early morning of winter, several old residents of the dormitory of the Pioneer Machinery Factory in the Pioneer Community of Wuyao Township, Lianchi District chatted while walking. Talking about the changes that have taken place in the community in recent months, they can't hide their joy in their words, and their faces show a satisfied smile.
Built in 1992, the dormitory of the Pioneer Machinery Factory has 33 buildings and a permanent population of 4,312 people. With the passage of time, a series of problems such as illegal construction, debris piling up, aging infrastructure, sewage overflow, and parking difficulties have become increasingly prominent. In December 2022, the city included the dormitory of the Pioneer Machinery Factory in the renovation of the old community.
In April 2023, the renovation project of the old dormitory of Pioneer Machinery Factory was officially launched. It mainly focuses on the three aspects of building ontology, infrastructure, and public facilities, actively implements the system of "one division and nine members", collects and feeds back residents' opinions and suggestions in a timely manner, and takes the transformation of water, electricity, roads and other pipe network facilities that residents are anxious about as an important implementation content. At the same time, a number of public service facilities such as basketball courts, activity venues for the elderly, electric bicycle charging sites, parking spaces, community bookstores, clinics and community canteens will be added, and a red cultural landscape will be created to further improve the living environment of the community and enhance the quality of life of residents.
In the first woolen area of Tianxiang Community, Pioneer Street, Jingxiu District, a cultural wall of enterprise historical development takes the old factory culture and textile elements as the memory carrier, renders the cultural atmosphere of the overall environment of the community, and adds bright colors to the renovation project of the old community.
Built in the 70s of the last century, there are a total of 15 dormitory buildings in the first woolen area, which is a typical old community. Before the transformation, the walls of the community fell off, the road surface was potholed, the private construction was disorderly, and the pipelines were aging.
In March 2022, Jingxiu District fully launched the renovation project of the old community in the first woolen area. During the renovation, the construction personnel demolished the balcony and private construction outside the community, widened the main road of the community to 7 meters, and added the enterprise development culture and the first wall in the first position, recording the important moments and development footprints of Baoding Woolen Mill from 1960 to 1993; The designers skillfully integrated the excellent product trademarks "Cuizhu" and "Cuiyu" of Baoding Woolen Mill into the improvement and transformation of the community; New facilities such as sorting garbage cans and rest seats have been added on both sides of the road; The community activity square has added children's combination slides, seesaws, swivel chairs, leisure corridors, fitness equipment and other facilities, and also arranged corridor seats to provide a place for parents to take care of their children and rest.
In the process of promoting the renovation of old communities, our city adopts different transformation methods in accordance with the "one community, one theme", carefully designs, innovates carriers, and inherits culture; Planning and guidance, firmly grasp the top-level design in hand, integrate elements such as city creation, child-friendly, and age-appropriate, and promote the improvement of the overall style of the city, which not only meets the needs of the people for a better life, but also plays a positive role in strengthening and improving grassroots social governance, and closely links the party members and the masses into a "concentric knot" to build a red, warm-hearted, civilized and safe community environment.
The renovation of old urban communities is not only a key trivial matter related to the daily life of residents, but also a major event in the grassroots governance of urban society. In recent years, our city has promoted urban renewal according to local conditions around the new situation of urban development and the new expectations of citizens' lives.
