Thousands of miles of the Yangtze River, rolling eastward. On February 2, cargo ships at the Sichuan Luzhou Port International Container Terminal, located in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, shuttled back and forth and were busy loading. Relying on the Yangtze River waterway and seizing the opportunities brought by the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Sichuan Luzhou Port is full of vitality. As the largest port in Sichuan, Luzhou Port has six 3,000-ton vertical frame berths, equipped with large-scale lifting equipment such as container shore overhead cranes and rail-mounted gantry cranes, with an annual comprehensive throughput capacity of about 10 million tons.
State Grid Sichuan Electric Power has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of port shore power facilities to ensure the reliable operation of the shore power system and protect the eastward flow of clean water from the river with high-quality services. In 2018, Sichuan's first port shore power system was completed and put into operation in Luzhou Port, and up to now, there are 14 sets of shore power facilities in Luzhou Port, of which the coverage rate of low-voltage shore power facilities is 100%, which can meet the needs of large ships above 5,000 tons. In 2023, a total of 1,933 ships in Luzhou Port will use shore power at the port, and the electricity consumption of shore power will increase by 26% year-on-year67%, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 3789 tons.
Shore power not only makes ports greener, but also smarter. State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. has built a shore power intelligent management system in Luzhou Port, which has a total of 14 sets of 40 kW shore power piles, which can charge 28 ships at the same time. The ship "swipes the first power at the port and swipes the card when leaving the port", which is convenient and worry-free. "Scan the code on WeChat, plug in the interface, and brush the ......The ship can be charged as soon as it docks. The charging pile can also display the electricity price, current and power, which is very convenient to use. Cao Tinghua, deputy general manager of Sichuan Luzhou Port Co., Ltd., said.
